Help with new iphone!

Why is that you cant get multimedia (video or picture) texts? I am floored that this phone that does so much can't do what my dd cheap prepaid phone!? Am I missing something?

It is an issue on At&T's end they say. They are supposed to have it at the end of the summer.

That's correct...AT&T is working on it...they don't have the capacity to handle it right now.

Yeah, supposedly by the end of the summer.

Also, we went from the original iPhones (on the edge network), skipped the second version and just got the iPhone 3Gs.

I have noticed that I'm dropping a *lot* of calls when I'm on the 3G network....not a good thing, especially when I use this phone as my business line. I've turned the 3G mode off altogether unless I'm surfing the internet or something where I need speed.

I heard the same thing last year from a lot of folks who got the 3G....that they wished they stayed with the original version, but I'd heard/read that AT&T had improved the network greatly. Not so much.

That said, I do love that it has voice control....the video camera is cool. It's really an AT&T thing....the network sucks.

The second the higher end iPhone goes to Verizon.....I'll drop AT&T.
