Help with MYW hoppers!

We are going to WDW and check in to POR for Jan 1-7. So, 6 nights, seven days. We have 7-day park hopper plus tickets and dining package. We will be flying in the night before (Dec. 31st) and will stay the first night nearby.

Here's the question of the day for us-- We got 7 day hoppers so we could go to MK or DD on New Years Eve, as we will be leaving the morning of the 7th to go catch our flight. I have read that with MYW, your room key is your parkhopper. Since we have 7=day hoppers, can we somehow use them on the 31st (the night before we check in)?

Did you purchase your MYW tix as part of a package (room + tix) from Disney? If that is the case, you will not be able to access your tix until you check in to the resort.

If you purchased your tickets seperately, either from WDW or somewhere else, you can use them whenever- they should send the tix to you in the mail.

I don't think you can get Disney to send you the tix before your trip if you have them tied to the room. You could call them, though, and see if they would do that.

Since you purchased a package (room, tickets & dining), your tickets are not activated until you check-in (in your case on Jan. 1). They will then be on your room key/resort ID. So no, you couldn't use them on Dec. 31. Sorry!

Unfortunatley WDWBetsy is correct. If you purchased this a a Room/ticket/dining package (as you explained) then you will not be able to get the tickets until you check into the hotel on January 1. You can pre-register anytime after 7am on the day of arrival, so you can get to the parks early on the 1st if you want to, but you will not be able to get the tickets earlier as they are linked to your room reservation.
