Those of you that do MyPoints, please give me some pointers on how to rack up points? Seems like the offers were abundant the first month and now they are few and far between unless you are buying things online. Any way to get lots of points for free?

TIA

Make sure in your preferences that you are signed up for bonus mail, and choose all of the options for that. I never buy things through My Points, I find that I get a better deal using Ebates to shop.. I just do the bonus mail. :)

I pretty much just do the bonus mail and surveys too. I do my shopping through Upromise. I don't rack up a ton of points but I usually manage to earn enough for a couple of $50 Outback gift cards per year. We use a card toward dinner on the night before we leave for WDW.

I agree with checking all of your preferences to make sure you are signed up to get all the bonus mails. They are kind of hit and miss -sometimes I'll get 20 in a day and sometimes I'll go a few weeks without getting one.

Some may disagree, but when I signed up a month or two ago, they were offering a deal of like 500 points to download their search bar on internet explorer. And on top of it, for so many searches a month, they will give you so many points for the month. I did that. I've only been a member for about 1 and a half months and have almost 900 points. I also signed up at winster.com through mypoints, and bzzagent is how I got started with mypoints. I agree to do all of those bonus e-mails. Thanks!

Just be patient. I save all of my mypoints emails and click through them on the weekend - you'd actually be surprised at how many there are! In addition, if you belong to Bzzagent they now give you mypoints as rewards. Once in a long while (maybe once a year) I find an offer that I take advantage of, but for the most part it's just the emails and surveys. I manage to earn enough points to redeem each year for a RFC giftcertificate to use on our trip. This year I redeemed a $100 Marriott certificate that I will use to pay for our hotel the night before checkin...:cool1:

I shop with My Points and click thru all the emails. Do the surveys and I joined winster too. :) I love MP, I just got 1 gc for Applebee's and I've got another on it's way along with RFC, CA Pizza Kitchen and I think one other one....

Patience is the key! I thought I would never have enough points to get a gift card, but it gets better. I don't do a lot of shopping, but occasionally there are some great offers. I agree, though, that some days you will get 20 bonus emails and other times you could go days without any! :confused3
I also downloaded the search bar and have a tally there too of how many points I have.
On a side note, I signed up for Inbox Dollars and it is a similar concept - just keep plugging through the emails and get paid. I have never quailfied for a survery (they pay $1), so I gave up on them!

Also print out the coupons as you get points when you redeem them during the month :thumbsup2

I do shop through Mypoints and order things online as opposed to going to the store...this really works with in-store pickup (save on S&H).

When you sign into your mypoints account, at the top of the screen, under your name and points total. There is a link called "Easy Points". You will find a list of special deals and newsletters you can sign up for(only once each) to rack up some points. I don't shop or sign up for anything that requires a credit card on mypoints. I have earned about $100 worth of gift cards in the past year. In addition to the bonus mails, surveys and easy points. Periodically check your homepage. On the right hand side, halfway down the page. They will sometimes have offers that are worth a minimum of 5 credits. Some weeks I won't get any. Other weeks I will get 4 or 5 offers.
