help with my walk down the isle song, anyone edit music or know where i can get this?

I posted this on the community board, but I figured you all here might be more willing to help if you could.


I am dying to walk down the isle next month to Dashboard Confessional's "Stolen". Only problem is I don't really want the whole song. I have been looking for an instrumental version to use but can't find anything besides a bad karaoke version. I am trying to find someone who can help. Can anyone here either edit music (to only have the chorus and beginning repeated) or explain to me how to use Sony's Sound Forge 9. I have the trial on recommendation from another board, but I can't get it to sounds nice once I clip the pieces I want together, it sounds very choppy.

Besides obviously looking for an alternate song (yes I'll have a backup) does anyone have any advice?

My DH and I wanted to use Queen's "Somebody to Love" for my processional but we needed to edit it down from about 6 minutes to 3 minutes - we used Audacity which is a free music editing program available online. It took us a little patience and time to learn how to use it but we were able to produce a CD with the music for our processional on it. Just google "Audacity" and you will find the site to download it.

I was going to suggest Audacity as well. It also has the option of being able to take the words out and just have the music, this too takes a bit of patience, but it can be done, I've done it before.

I was going to edit our songs with a program called Soundtrack Pro, but I really didn't want to cut anything out of them. So what we did for my walk with my dad was just wait until about half the song had played before we started our walk. It's an easy workaround...
