Hello everyone,

Greetings to you from a chilly -13F in Sudbury Ontario, Canada. My family is travelling to Florida in March for a quick stop at MK and a one day adventure at Universal, then heading to Naples for the rest of our spring break.

We will be at MK on March 10th and Universal on March 11th. It is our first time at MK and I was hoping you could give me some advice/comments on my tentative itinerary.

A couple of notes…

We’d like to do what we can, but we know 2 days would be better than one, so we want to make the most of our one-day there. We have CRT at 7:20. PoTC is closed for refurbishment on the 10th.

Otherwise, my kids (ages 7 and 11) are not interested in waiting in line to meet characters.
We are staying at the Springhill Suites Flamingo Crossings. MK just updated their hours for the 10th 8:00 am -12:00 am.

I am uncertain as to what time to arrive…perhaps someone can give me some advice. Also, not sure what to do for lunch (narrowed down to Columbia Harbor House, Pecos Bill’s or Pinnochio Village Haus).

Arrive at MK for RD

RD: 7DMT (couldn’t get a FP+)

FL: IASW then, Winnie The Pooh then, HM then possibly, Mickeys Phillarmagic. – Wondering about BTMRR and JC/even though I’ve been told to skip this one if we have to wait at all.

10:25: PP (FP+) then, BS then, do what we missed above or possibly Muppets Present or Gaston’s for a cinnamon bun?

11:25: SM (FP+ for Splash M), interested in a Dole Whip/Citrus Swirl at some point, maybe BTMRR?

12:50: SM (FP+ Space), maybe a 4th FP+ for Buzz, possibly Speedway

7:20: CRT

RE-RIDES/MISSED RIDES?

You'll want to be at MK around 7:15 as you need to be towards the front of the crowds to get in and get to 7DMT. I wouldn't do IASW or Philharmagic that early in the day. Leave those to fill in later when other lines build. Keep trying to move your PP FP+ to a bit earlier, but if you can't, I'd hit Winnie, then Haunted Mansion, and then try to get to BTMRR. BUT that's a bit of a hike and then you have to get back to PP. What is BS??? I'm drawing a blank on that one. Yes, I would then do IASW and Philharmagic before your Splash FP. After Splash, you may want to grab some lunch or check the line at JC.

I agree with the PP about the early arrival time.

Here's what I'd likely do for my time so that I'm not traipsing back and forth across the park all day:
RD 7DMTR
Winnie the Pooh
anything else in Fantasyland that would interest your kids (Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, Little Mermaid, Barnstormer, or the others you already mentioned)
FP PP (get in line as close to the beginning of your window as you can)
Haunted Mansion
Grab a snack on the way to Frontierland (Dole Whips at Aloha Isle)
Maybe BTMRR (if there's time)
FP Splash
Lunch at Pecos Bill (love that place)
Train to Fantasyland stop
Take back path to Tomorrowland
FP Space
Start hunting for for a 4th FP (Buzz Lightyear or Jungle Cruise are good use of a 4th FP)

I would not waste a 4th FP on Tomorrowland Speedway ever again. It was not worth it to me.

I might also consider trying to push back the Space Mountain FP so that you're not so rushed in getting from Frontierland to Tomorrowland.

:welcome: to the DIS @Melissy9

Quick question. You have CRT dinner at 7:20PM. Happily Ever After is at 7:55PM that night. Would you rather be at dinner vs watching HEA? I am a huge HEA fan and wouldn’t want to miss it if given the chance. If you do keep your dinner reservation, it’s going to be like WWIII in there! :-)

Hope you have a great trip.

That CRT time is pretty terrible in retrospect...when booking it, I thought HEA was later...I failed to research beforehand. WWIII scares me a little! I have been debating with the kids re: what they want more. I wish I knew what I know now 6 months ago!

Personally, I would just eat counter service instead of the sit down meals. Since you only have one day to do as much as you can, I wouldn't spend a lot of time eating. Sit down meals can gobble up (so to speak) hours of your precious time in the park.

RE-RIDES/MISSED RIDES?

Hi fellow Canadian
I would skip CRT for dinner and go with
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party.
March / Spring break on a Sat in MK is going to be busy,,
We have been going for March/Spring break for the past 15 years and by the end of our day we enjoy having a designated place to chill and enjoy the Happily Ever After Fireworks.

Have a look here

Have fun planning
Hugs Mel

Thank you so much everyone...I am going to cancel my CRT at 7:20 and book the garden fireworks viewing. I think it is a better choice, but still a little sad about cancelling the dinner...
