I have very little experience with character meets. Heck next month will be my first character meal. Ever. :)

We want to take DGD3 to see the Frozen characters and I see they are all in the Disney Animation building at DCA. It appears from the DLR app they start M&G at park opening. Is that right? When is a good time to go? How fast do lines build? Do Anna, Else and Olaf all have separate queues we need to wait in?

:wizard:

There's never a very long line. I think I might have waited 30 minutes in April, that was the longest I have waited in the last couple years. You are in the same line for both meets - you see A&E first and then Olaf.

We saw them last year during Xmas week like on dec 28 so very busy time. We had EMH that morning and had done some rides. We lined up at animation building like 10 min before and no one was there lined up. They then walked us in to the animation building and while we waited in the line inside about two other families lined up up. In all it was very quick. It feels like everyone is more excited to see other characters.

The first year they were in the parks I think it was like 3hrs(we did not wait)
The second time we went I think we waited about 40 min or a bit less. The wait has definitely gone down

Well, I have a five-year-old girl, so we've met the Frozen crew approximately 374 times, most recently last Thursday (just Anna and Elsa that time, though)... we don't go nearly as often since they got rid of Photopass in there (phone pictures just Do. Not. Cut. It. in there, so have a real camera if you want nice shots).

Generally, Kristoff and Olaf are only there in the morning, often leaving at 1 or 2, so check the app and go on the early side for them. We've sometimes met Olaf and Kristoff in Room 1 and Anna and Elsa in Room 2, or sometimes vice versa. I have never figured out a pattern.

Their line actually fluctuates quite a bit for a variety of reasons (mostly related to the switching out of characters inside, so it's unpredictable). If you go early and there's a big line or someone isn't there yet, just try back an hour or two later. You can try asking the CM if they recommend a time to return. We won't wait if it's more than 20 minutes, personally.

Since they got rid of FP, I would say the line has consistently been 20-30 mins long regardless of time of day. The characters are really good about talking to the kids though...we were there in Nov and they still had photo pass, but it sounds like it's gone now. Terrible lighting in there, so agree with PP about having a good camera.

Yup, fairly short wait, HORRIBLE light, and you don’t always get all 4 (Kristoff is there too). Last month we went through at opening and we didn’t get Anna, apparently she didn’t make it to work on time. 2yo was less than amused. Oh, and no Photopass photographer either, at least the last few times we went.
