HELP with Meal Plan. SOmeone coming later?

We will be camping in two weeks and I just called about the meal plan. ONe guy is coming in for just a few days and they are telling me that he has to have the ssame number of days as the rest of the reservation. Did this happen to anyone else?

I am pretty sure the rule is everyone in the room has to haVe the exact same reservations and possibly ticket.

I think Disney is a little shortsighted for not allowing for this sort of thing. We often have the same situation where one of our party is arriving late or leaving early.

Allowing no exceptions would make it very tempting for guests to just "sneak" the extra person in, share their food with them, and buy them a park ticket somewhere else. The only problem that comes to mind is that they wouldn't be eligible for EMH.

Wouldn't Disney be better off to just figure out some way to address this common problem?
