Help with MDE!!

Here is my question... We just rented points for 2 BWV studios for next October. My parents will be joining us. They are in their late 70s and not seasoned travelers. The logistics of a Disney vacation is confusing enough for me, there is no way I can even begin to explain everything to them. So, can I just add them to my existing MDE account and handle everything for them that way? Link their tickets and coordinate the FP's that I schedule? Will that effect the magicbands and charging? If someone could walk me through this I would be so grateful!!! I want this vacation to be stress free for them!!

You can do all that. This thread will help you make your FPs, and the MDE app itself is very user friendly and intuitive.

Create them as family members, or have them (or you can) set up their accounts and link to them. Once you have your ressies linked, you can order MBs. When you get to 180 days out, you can make ADRs, and at 60 days reserve FP+s for your whole group after you link your ticket media to each person.

It's not hard. I was surprised at how easy it was.

Great, thanks!! About them creating an account... Do they need to do that at all? And what about charging? Do we figure that out when we check in?

If they are in their own studio that they will be paying for then I think it will be less confusing if you make a MDE account for them. Otherwise, things like online check in and putting a credit card on the profile will all get mixed together. You can control their account for them. And if you link the accounts together as family, then you can make all the ADR's and fp's for them from your account. You will have to go into their accounts to add their credit card to their profile, choose their Magic Band colors and to do online check in, but just about every other aspect of the trip can be controlled from your account.

We stayed in a 2BR villa with my two sisters and son and we each set up our own accounts. That way my sisters and son had their own credit card on their bands.

I've done DS and DIL on my reservation many times. I just have them linked to my account so they have their own MBs. I book all the FP and ADRs. When we check in, they just have their credit card linked to their MBs I have mine done to mine. No problem.

Did they stay in the same room with you or separate rooms? How does online check in work for each reservation? Do you use the Magical Express?

Same room, 1 bed room at AKV and studio at BWV (split stay). Did not use ME, we drive down from Georgia.
