Okay - I'm sorry to ask so many questions that are probably common knowledge to everyone but me. Thanks in advance for those of you willing to help me understand this.

We have been to Disney several times since MDE started ( maybe four times). I'm pretty sure for each of those trips we had an Annual Pass. So when I look at MDE and look at tickets, it shows most of my family having four Magic Bands and an image of four tickets. Can I get rid of the images of all those tickets and magic bands? It bothers me to see all those bands/tickets that are no longer in use still on there.

We are planning another trip in December and I have ordered my Magic Bands. I received the tickets today from UCT and need to link those to my account so that we can make fast pass selections for the December trip. Does it mess anything up to have all those Magic Bands and old, used tickets tied to my account?

I called a Disney number today that said it was for help with MDE. I don't know whether she didn't answer my question or I didn't explain my question but I was more confused when I got off the phone than I was before I called.

If someone could give me the simple MDE for Dummies explanation, I would be forever grateful.

It won't screw anything up to link the new tickets to your account. I don't know that you can delete the old tickets but you can still use the old bands interchangeably with the new ones.

Did you throw away the MagicBands?
If you still have them, they are still usable (ALONG WITH any new ones you may be getting.)

Just to keep things as clear as possible about MBs-

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info,
or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

A MagicBand just contains a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.
Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number)
to access the info in your MDE file.

Disney can also issue ADDITIONAL MB's to a guest and each
additional band can be used for the same purposes as the first band.

So, yes, there can be multiple MB's per person, and each of them can be used by that person, but their entitlements will all be common and identical.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.
The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.
The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed from your MDE account when needed.

When I had to call for something, I had them remove all the old tickets.
I think I called because there were so many, I couldn't tell which was which.
They had to do it.
You can deactivate magic bands if you are not going to use them.

Great tip!

It seems that only the IT Tech Support team can remove tickets from an account, and they are not suppose to. Even unused tickets are locked in MDE unless you complain very loudly with multiple escalations.

So, if we stay at multiple resorts, each with issued magic bands, linking Park tickets for the entire length of the trip to the first resort magic bands, will enable us to enter the parks with the subsequent resort magic bands?

Tickets are not linked to bands. I stayed at 3 resorts with 5 bands and all were completely interchangeable. If you get all your bands shipped to you in advance and your third resort band was blue but it goes with your outfit better than the orange one from your first stay use the blue one - they all function the exact same.

A MagicBand just contains (and weakly "transmits") a unique serial number that is used to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

Perfect. Thank you!
