I'm looking to make my cellphone bill cheaper... We have verizonwireless...I have 5 smartphones on our plan...Unlimited txting...2Gb data plan...1400 minutes plus free nights and weekends with free to Verizon customers.. Anyways it cost me 370.00 a month and I want to find another carrier with a smiliar plan but cheaper..370.00 is a car payment it's too high..Any suggestions

DH and I have our cell phones through AT&T and we pay $149/month. I think that includes 10GB of data that we share and unlimited texting. I'm not sure how many free minutes we get but I know we never go over in our usage. I don't know what else that amount covers but I feel pretty good about what we pay. We used to pay about $175/month, but when AT&T came out with their new family plans we were able to switch to the cheaper plan.

I'm sure others will chime in and probably offer better advice than what I've provided. I'd shop around with other companies and see if you can find a more affordable plan.

Verizon should be able to do much better than that--phones are $40 plus whatever 2 GB of data costs. Seems like it should be at least $100 cheaper.

My parents just got Iphones and their bill with tax is $117 for two but they only have 500 mb of data.

My daughter has unlimited texting and data for her IPhone from Virgin Mobile. $33 per month. Works great.

I'm not sure why your bill is so high but I would contact Verizon before you switch. It should be $40 per line plus $50 for 2GB. That includes unlimited talk and text. With tax your bill should be roughly $275.

I have unlimited text and data & 1200 minutes with Virgin Mobile and pay $43.00 a month for one phone. I too was with Verizon and dump them because they were expensive. I have been with Virgin for 2 years now and no problems.

Virgin and Straight Talk (I have and love Straight Talk) are great options if you live somewhere where you can get away without Verizon service (I learned Northern Michigan is not one of these places) but buying five new phones can get pricey.

I imagine you are on an old plan. You should be able to get a much better deal if you talk to them. Not that it will be cheap, in fact the cost of cell phone service makes me cringe, but you are paying way too much for what you are getting.

We have ATT. My husband switched our plan in the spring. It was $250. Now it is $158 for 4 iphones. Not sure package and data. But, we have never gone over data useage between the 4 of us.

It should be, I have 5 GB of shared data, unlimited voice and data for 4 phones for $210 with Verizon and I have only had this plan for 2 1/2 weeks.

check out T-Mobile. 5 lines, unlimited talk and text and 2.5 GB data per line is $110.

Verizon can do MUCH cheaper than that.

We have 3 iphones, unlimited talk and text and 10gb of data. Bill is around $210. I do get 22% off through my job for the first line only which saves us around $20ish.

If you have 5 smartphones, I'll bet that you have kids on the plan. 2GB of data to share amongst 5 people isn't a lot, and the kids probably don't realize what the limit is or how much data they actually use. Maybe you're going over and are being charged for it? I use well over 2GB a month just for myself, so split 5 ways there really isn't much room.
