Help with MagicBand Question

Hi everyone,

We will be at BCV from 3/10 to 3/13. We haven't been to WDW in 2 years and have been out of the circuit lately. These magic bands - if we are not buying park tickets, do we still get them? How do we order and personalize them? I know they were testing last year - are they fully operational now?

If you haven't already, setup your profile at MyDisneyExperience.com. Once your profile is setup, link your room reservation. After the room reservation is linked, they should be an option to Personalize MagicBands. All Disney owned and operated resorts are MagicBand only now. Theme park admission is not required to receive MagicBands as they will also serve as your room key and room charging (requires CC on file with resort). Since you are in Canada, your MagicBands will be waiting at the resort since they only ship to US addresses.
 
Thank you! I set it up now, but when I click on the button for personalizing the band, it asks me to confirm the shipping address, when I click OK, it just tells me that there's a problem with the request, that they can't confirm the shipping address, and to try again later, so I guess that's what I'll have to do.

Do you have a tablet or smart phone with the MDE app? Those outside of the US have had success confirming their home address using the app. Not sure if the 2.0 version that was just released for iPhone/iPad will still confirm a non-US address.

Another option is to put in the mailing address of the resort you are staying at.

I installed the app and was not able to use my Cdn address, so I put in the BCV address. It worked and now, the status shows the customized bands can be picked up at the resort front desk and that I cannot customize any longer.

Now if only the weather will cooperate for our drive down :)
