help with kitty issues

I remember reading something by a cat expert, it might have been Jackson Galaxy who had his own TV show, who said that cats can often prefer to be either "bush dwellers," meaning they prefer to stay low to the ground, or tree dwellers, which like to perch up in high places.

I don't have a big, tall tree this year. But, the few times my cat climbed onto the top of high shelves, it seemed it was just out of curiosity, as she didn't perch or stay up there. I think she prefers to be a bush dweller.

I still haven't figured them out. My cat has picked out ONE tree that she loves to completely destroy. It is almost a running joke now trying to keep it upright. The others, she has no interest in.

Seriously, she pulls wires down as you can see.... she pulls the lights off, she unplugs the lights, she pulls ornaments off. The only reason it is standing up now is I used a bungee cord to attach it to the desk
