Help with July 2014 trip

I'm usually planning months in advance, but this is a spur of the moment trip for week of July 21. It doesn't seem there are any discounts available - so I'm wondering what are my best pricing options. Planning to stay value - should I book through expedia or orbitz? Would we still have magic bands? Undercover tourist for tickets? Can I still add a dining plan? Thanks - I'm a little lost on this one.

You can only add the dining plan if you book a package through Disney. I am pretty sure you can't get it through Orbitz or Expedia.

If you want a dining plan then you I suggest you book through Disney. Your package will be due in full at booking since you are less than 45 days out. You may not get to personalize your bands though. I don't know the cutoff for that.

If you add the dining plan, you will have to buy the tickets as a package unless you are military.

If you book it more than 2 weeks out, you will get to customize your Magic Bands. They may not be mailed to you but will be at the resort when you check in.

There won't be any discounts this close to the date. Discounts are usually for farther out bookings. I would either book through Disney or a TA instead of a third party vendor.
