HELP with ipod!!!

so i've had my ipod for a while now but i have never bought music on itunes and my parents bought me an itunes gift card for x-mas. do i have to have an account ot use that card??? i think you do?!? plz help!!

yes you need an account and then you click on the redeem button to redeem your card

Yes your account is just like an email and password. Then you use the code on the back of the card and your balance becomes how much the card was for. Then you just spend!

You need an account because iTunes charges on a credit card when you don't have a gift card. Your "username" is often the e-mail address the account is registered in.
