past two years we've arrived at DHS around 9, gone to the 9:40 DIsney Jr show and then to H&V for a late breakfast. Our girls will be 7,4 and 4.

This year, DD7 wants to do Jedi Trainings Academy, so we will be doing the dance to try to sign her up. Our H&V ADR is at 10:15 so plenty of time to make it from Disney JR.

Our TSMM FP is 9-10. After reading the Jedi sign-up thread, I'm thinking we can't sign her up, ride TSMM and make Disney JR by 9:40.

Should I move my FP to later in the day?

With all the other showtimes I think we have to do Disney Jr at 9:40.

To my mind....why cram everything into the morning? Somethings are set in stone...Jedi...sign her up. But some things could be done at any point in the day...shows, rides. Prioritize and strategize.

Yes, I would move the TSMM FP to later in the day if you can. Then you won't have to worry about the Jedi signup possibly taking too long.

What I do is never schedule fast passes before like 10 or 11am. The first few hours a park is open is a good time to take advantage of low crowds and get on rides with short waits.

I personally recommend pushing FP's back from around noon or later when lines are a lot longer

If you have 2 adults traveling, have one wait on the Jedi line with the 9 year old, and have the other head over to Disney Jr with the little ones. Make your TSMM FP for later in the day.

If it makes you feel better, and you can actually do it - sure, move the FP+ for Toy Story, but I would not.

If you sign up for Jedi Academy and her return time is for later in the morning - then what?

Seems to me that:
-- Sign-up for Jedi Academy, followed by,
-- FP+ for Toy Story, followed by,
-- 10:15 H&V ADR still makes the most sense.

Nobody can answer if you can make that 9:40am Disney Jr. show until after you've signed up your child for Jedi Academy. If you know this is the (potential) problem, you have the best chance of making it all happen - because you already know where the problem can arise.

Having the flexibility later in the morning, after your ADR, makes the most sense to me - because then you can manage the unknown Jedi Training return time and pick from what seems to be two Disney Jr. shows between 12pm-1pm.

While lengthening a day in the Parks can be a bit too much for the 4 y.o., the promise of celebrating Minnie Mouse birthday at Disney Jr. as your last attraction might work best anyway.

Since you cannot control a line nor control the Jedi Training return time until you've made it through that additional line, seems to me you are more limited by moving the FP+ to when you are more likely to have a time conflict.

UNLESS, if you can move the FP+ time from 9am-10 to 9:30am-10:30, then maybe you can do it all:

1.) Jedi sign-up,
2.) Disney Jr. (9:40-10:10am),
3.) Toy Story FP+ - good 'til 10:30am,
4.) H&V - maybe arrive a few minutes late,
5.) Jedi Training.

Maybe in any other Park.

Toy Story will likely have a 45-minute standby line by the time most anyone gets from the Jedi Training to Toy Story.

With 4 y.o. in tow - the commando strategy really is not the best advice (i.e., 4 y.o. needs a potty).

With 4 y.o. in tow - extending time in the Parks is not the best advice either.

You may enjoy using your FP+ for afternoons, but my family with a young child, has likely departed the Park by then.

By the way, "The hotel swimming pool," is the most common response by children answering the favorite part of their Disney trip.

And the same guidebooks that offer that swimming pool tidbit also point out that young children kinda' have 4-hours to give in the Parks.

That strategy has worked out marvelously for my family because this allows for greater potential to make a nighttime activity, instead of being in our hotel because the children are exhausted by 4pm.

Waits for Toy Story have been cut down a lot since the new addition to the second track.

Even before the second track, I still wouldn't FP anything within about 2-3 hours of park opening. If I wanted to do toy story I'd FP it around noon. Hit other rides standby in the morning, maybe even toy story depending how quick you got there

We took the first bus to HS and arrived at about 8:15. We were able to be at the front of one of the lines to get in. They started letting us in around 8:30 and everyone was running for Jedi training. We made it through the line by a few minutes after 9 so we were able to make our 9:10 h&v reservation, which was luckily next to the signups.

I would think you will have time to sign her up and then make it to you tsmm fp since you have until 10am to check in.

The CM who helped us at Jedi sign ups, looked at my fp times and was able to fit in a time that did not conflict. You will have to check back in 30 minutes prior to the show. I would definitely prioritize this. It was the highlight of my 5 year olds trip and he still talks about it. My younger DD also had fun so maybe your younger girls will want to do it too.

I would see if you can switch your H&V to 8 am. They will let you sign up for Jedi before the rush of park opening that way. Then you'll have your pick of Jedi times that fit your schedule.
