Help with Hotwire

Hi--we are going on our first Disney Cruise next summer, June 10 2012. We'd like to spend 1 full day at WDW prior to that cruise to attend Star Wars Weekend (assuming it's that weekend prior). We're thinking about just getting a room on hotwire for 2 nights prior to the cruise.

So my questions are:

* When is the best time to book hotwire? (like how many months in advance should I look, when is the earliest I can book for that date, etc.?)

* Does the price go up the more times you look? I ask that because we just used hotwire for the first time a few weeks ago to book a room for our Colorado trip this summer. I had pulled it up on one computer, then went to tell my DH in his office and we pulled it up on his computer and it was $10 higher when we pulled it up on his. So I went back to my computer, which was still on the site, and booked it at the lower rate.

I have used hotwire a lot this past year and have been REALLY pleased. I use betterbidding.com to help me. You can find out what people pay for certain hotels on priceline and hotwire through better bidding and then you can know what the best rate might be. They can also check and possibly id a hotel for you. When I know what a good price is and I think I see that hotel on hotwire - then I book. I have booked months ahead sometimes when the given hotel is at a price I like. So far I have gotten every hotel I have wanted for a price I have wanted - Intercontinental Budapest, Hilton Charles de Gualle airport Paris, Hilton Heathrow Airport London and Sheraton Vistana Orlando.
