Help with Hollywood Studios

I’m a former expert at Disney planning. When the lockdown happened, I knew we wouldn’t be back for years so I stopped learning and keeping up with updates because I knew they would change constantly.
We’re going to be in Florida in about 10 days and my husband wants to go to Hollywood Studios specifically to ride the Millennium Falcon and Smugglers Run. I have no idea where to begin or if it’s even possible to buy tickets that close to being out.
1. Do they still limit the number of tickets each day?
2. Are they still doing fastpasses or that reservaction way they did for a while?
3. What is the updated method to get on those Star Wars rides?
4. My son is autistic and we get the DAS pass for him, would we be able to use that to get on the Star Wars rides?
5. do they do those nighttime events where you can go on all the Star Wars rides?

You will need tickets and park reservations for Hollywood Studios first before you even get to trying for Galaxy Edge experiences. There is a great thread on here about how to get on Rise of the Resistance once you have assured that you can get a park reservation.

1) Yes they are limiting tickets to each park. Park reservations are necessary at each park and you should check to see if there is any availability at HS during the time you are considering.
2) FP’s at the present time are not being issued.
3) For Smugglers Run you have to get in line and for Rise of the Resistance you will need to try to get a boarding group at 7:00AM. If you fail at 7 you can try again at 1:00PM. You must have a park reservation for HS for the 7:00AM boarding group and if you are trying at 1:00 you must have already tapped into HS.
4) You will be able to get your son a DAS pass but for Rise you will still need to obtain a boarding group. For Smugglers Run with the DAS pass your party will be given a return time to ride.
5) At the present time there are no nighttime activities or shows being offered at HS.

Quick note for Rise of the Resistance...
When trying to get a boarding group, I would log into time.gov on another ap or phone. About 6:59:50 go back to WDW Ap. The second it shows 7:00 hit join. This is the important part, continue to hit join until you get a boarding group. Do NOT stop to add anyone or hesitate for any reason. That split second will cause you to lose a spot for a boarding group. If not everyone in your party is included with your boarding group at the end you can ask a Cast Member to add them when it is your time. Good Luck and May the Force Be With You!
