Years ago I was allergy tested and found I am allergic to wheat, dairy and soy. I ignored it because I felt fine. Fast foward to today, I feel terrible and have some conditions related to the allergy. So I've decided to give it a try...gluten and soy I get, but I need help with the dairy....

So is it all dairy, goat milk included? Can I have hard cheese or yogurt? And what exactly does the "C" in GFCF really mean?

The "c" is for casein, which is a protein found in dairy, but can also be used in other stuff.

Dairy is dairy, be it from a goat or a cow, and it does mean products made from dairy. Sorry.

There are some decent substitutes, but you'll have to read the ingredients carefully. Many dairy substitutes are soy-based. Some of them do have gluten in them, which doesn't make much sense, but they do.

Oh well, I was hoping goats might like me better than cows :confused3 Thanks:goodvibes

Try eliminating the gluten and soy and cow's milk products, and leave the goat milk products in and see how you do. My FIL can have goat milk products, but can't handle cow's milk.

Quick thought my 4 year old just started on a dairy free soy free diet (this weekend) do to allergies and because we are taking everything out he was given an Epi-pen because if reintroduced the body has a stronger reaction to the allergen. May want to contact PCP or allergist just to be safe. If you go to any allergy network online they will give you a list names for dairy, soy, etc. So you don't accidently take in anything. Good Luck!!:thumbsup2
