DH's mom brought him some homemade vege soup Fridayat work and put it in his truck. DH forgot about it and it stayed in there from Friday until Sunday morning with windows up. Would have been no big deal except that she had put the soup in a Ziploc bag, of course the bag came open and spilled all under the backseat of his truck. His car smelled like vomit!!! His truck is an Avalanche and the back seats can be lifted up so he cleaned the carpet of the truckand put it in the garage with the windows down last night. Today, he says it still smells like vomit. He thinks now he's going to have to take the seats completely out, floor brackets and all to lift the carpet. I see trouble there. I don't think he'll be able to do that and get everything back in place and I'm sure he'd have a rattle after that. Does anyone know of a way to get bad odors out that have soaked in? Are there any good odor neutralizers that REALLY work? Thanks for any help.
I feel your pain. We just fount a wet diaper in my car--no idea how long it's been in there, but judging by the smell at least a few days.
