Help with general dress styles & designs?

I love Mori Lee dresses. I was looking at one of the quinceanera dresses and nearly bought it but then I found this:

and just had to have it. As you can tell, I like big pick-ups! I was going to buy it off the internet as it was half the price (literally) as buying it in the UK so i went to a bridal shop to trying on and ended up ordering it from them. I haggled with them and got such a good deal that it wasn't worth saving some money by going over the internet with customs charges, duty, alterations etc.

I think the best thing you can do is go and try on the styles you like and see if they suit you. You can have anything you like - if you want blue, pink, green with bright yellow spots you go for it!!

OMG, that is a beautiful dress!!!! May I ask how tall you are? I'm only 5 ft 2 & very petite, I wonder if I would be too short for a dress like that??

BTW, what does "quinceanera" mean? What sort of occassion is it supposed to be made for?

Also, is it common nowadays to have a different color dress than white? I want to be traditional, but honestly, I have such pale skin I look so pale in white!!
