Help with fonts

PLEASE!!!! I need help with some fonts. I either need someone to write some thing with specific fonts or I need someone to teach me how to access/unzip files on a windows 7 platform from dafont.com

Anyone savy with computer idiots like me? Or f somebody already has the fonts our band wants could they do some writing for me?

I need in "varsity" font The name of our highschool.

Merrimack Valley High School. All on one line across the top of a t-shirt design.

Then in "Gilligan's Island" font I need the words in 3 lines
Music
Is My
Life



In the long run what I really need is this design (at the link below) put on an 8 x 11 or an 11 x 11 format in black and white so I can have a local shop screen print 100 + t-shirts for a school trip. This is what some of the kids came up with but I just can't make it work myself. i can't figure out how to use the free fonts or anything. https://picasaweb.google.com/DonnaSilver/February72012

a question....do you have WINZIP which is a program to unzip files?

Someone can do this better than me. What I do is download the font, on the right hand side of your screen there should be something that says "extract all files". Duh I forgot, look at post 6, someone did the instructions already. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2430262

if you are computer challenged and don't read instructions well (I prefer verbal instructions, I have a hard time with written) pm me & I will give you me email address and send the fonts to you.

If you are still having trouble, please let us know in more detail where things are going wrong. I'd be happy to help.

One tip that would have helped me at one time: do not extract directly into the fonts folder. Windows wants you to copy the already extracted files into the folder in order to install them.

So I use google crome. When I go to extract the files it comes up in Explorer and flashes until the screen freezes and shuts down my computer.

I have done a security/virus scan and my computer is acting fine again. This happens each time I do this.

Should I try this on a computer that has/uses Explorer? Might that be my problem?

Again thank you to everyone that is trying to help me. They may just get a font I already have....
