With Magical Express, Southwest is not one of their authorized airlines for resort flight check in. How difficult is it to take the Magical Express back to the Orlando airport from the resort when flying Southwest? I know that you may print off your boarding pass 24 hours before your flight. Would it be easier to fly one of the authorized airlines? My in laws are flying down and we are driving, so we are trying to make this as easy as possible for them. They will only be bringing bags back with them as we are taking there bags down, but we are staying longer. We have never flown before, so we are completely in the dark. Any info would be great!!! They are flying out of Buffalo.

We flew with Southwest the last time we wnet to Disney--there were no problems--the front desk printed our boarding passes for us the day before we left.

We use Southwest everytime. No problems with using DME. We just had to handle our own bags at the airport for check-in

what do you mean, you have to pick up your bags from the airport and put on the DME?

If I understand this right, with Southwest you have to check in your own bags at the airport when leaving Disney. There are authorized airlines that the resorts will check you and your bags in for you. We just booked flights for my husband's parents and we went with AirTran on the return flight so they won't have to worry about checking their bags in at the airport. Hope this is right. Never flown to Disney before, but have been doing alot of reading lately before we booked flights.

We have flown with SWA a number of times to Disney, as long as you have the yellow Disney resort tags on your luggage your bags will arrive with in 4 hours of your landing in Orlando.
When you check in at Buffalo you will have to check your large luggage with the agent( just like at Person) and take any carry-on with you which will be searched at security.
When you land at Orlando take the shuttle tram to the main terminal go down one flight of stairs to the ME boarding area, you do not have to claim your baggage as long as those yellow tags are attached Disney will pick them up and deliver them to your room.
When you leave Disney (after having the time of your life of course:thumbsup2) go to the front desk and have them print off your boarding pass 24 hours prior to the departure time and book the ME to return if you have not already done so with a CM.
You will have to carry your luggage to the check in again (remember to remove the yellow tags) and then the security thing and a nice relaxing flight home.
Enjoy we always do:banana:
