Help I've never gone to LA before and direct flights from Boston are sitting at $347 per person, is this a good price, I only know good prices to Florida. This is for Presidents week in February which is a winter vacation here in the North East.
Thanks,
Shelby

That sounds about right for normal fares. You might be able to get some discounted fares as I have seen some "PING" rates thru Southwest at around $89-$129 one-way from Norfolk, VA to LAX. The only problem is that you would have to wait a couple of more months for Soutwest to start advertising promotions for travel during that time. Right now I think they are only going thru December.

Doesn't Jet Blue fly out of Boston? I would check them. I got a decent rate out of JFK to Long Beach. I also think they fly into one or two other airports out there.

Yes, Jet Blue flies direct, Boston to Long Beach. We will be on them tomorrow at this time. :earseek: We bought our tickets as soon as the dates were released and paid 289.20 r/t. We actually saw the prices go down a bit after that, but then they shot up again. I would think the holiday week would be more pricey than regular weeks, but I'm no expert.

Good luck!

Have you tried Song Airlines (www.flysong.com)? They have trips from Boston to LAX, and their fares are usually discounted. They used to fly out of DC, when we took them to Orlando for our honeymoon. It was a really fun airline!

Having grown up in LA area, President's day weekend is a tough one to fly in and out of. It seems that LA considers that "the" weekend to travel. We had issues when we went to Vegas or Phoenix every year. It's the first long weekend after the holidays, so people take advantage of it. High demand is gonna equal higher prices.
I'd also look at surrounding airports and/or charter. But, my experience is that you'll be paying more that time.
