This year both of my DS's decided that they wanted a trip to WDW from Santa. (I have taught them well.) I was finally able to get the DH to agree to it and are planning an early May trip. My DH is working on his Master's degree and we can't go until then. I need help figuring out how to tell the DS's that is what they are getting. I was thinking either a letter from Santa, or a letter from Santa with several small things so they have to guess what it is. If I did the letter with gifts, I would buy something small to represent each park then the last thing would be something with Mickey on it.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!

How fun! We did a letter from Mickey and a box full of Disney stuff for my DDs last Christmas for our Feb. trip... but maybe you want to be more subtle for your boys since they're older. Here are some thoughts I had:

letter from Santa telling them their present is a mystery for them to solve, then have several boxes and let the kids take turns opening them and making guesses

small toy airplane (if you're flying)
piggy bank or wallet (so they can start saving for their own souveniers)
new Crocs (because they'll walk a lot)
lion figure/tiger/giraffe/some other wild animal (AK)
golf ball (EPCOT)
Wall-E or some other Disney DVD (Hollywood Studios)
and finally a Mickey figure/doll with a note that says "See ya real soon!"

What about a Treasure hunt? My Mom used to do those for us, with some clues and small gift along the way, leading to the big gift! I remember it being such fun!

I wish I was there to see the looks on their faces!
Enjoy!

Thank you both, those are both really good ideas. I'll have to get to the store while they are at school, so I can see what I can buy for the clues.

Well my DH thinks that a treasure hunt would take too long. I have to get to his parents house asap and help cook Christmas lunch. I had got the boys a Disney Dream Book when the trip was supposed to have been in December, and I hid them and they still haven't seen them. He wants me to wrap those books with a peice of paper taped to the front that says "Use this May 9-14, 2009 on your trip to Disney World!!" inside the wrapping paper. I tried to argue that I didn't think it was creative enough. He said "I pay for the trip, I get to pick how they're told". I'm going to try and change his mind, which I usually can.

So I decided to not do what my DH wanted. I am still giving them the Disney Dream books. In addition to that I bought them each a Star Wars digital camera (only $29 at Wal Mart). I got them a card that they will have to read before they can open it. If they haven't figured it out by reading what "Santa" is writing then once they open the gifts there will be a note that says "Use these at Disney World in May".

This is what I have so far for the Santa letter. Let me know what you think.

Dear Joseph and John,
You have been very good this year!! What is wrapped beneath this card is not your actual present, not at all. It is a way for you to enjoy your present more. Your actual gift won’t fit in a bag, a box, or even in your house. It is just too large. For your gift all in one place you will not only see the world. You will see the wonders of the ocean deep, and travel into space. You will walk where movie magic happens, and see feats of speed and bravery. You will see lions, zebras, and elephants, Oh my!! You will ride through wild waters, and listen to the smallest bug. You will see things that can only come from the biggest imagination. There will be pirates, princesses and even a talking trashcan. A place where there’s always room for one more ghost, and pirate ships fly. It is a place where mice, ducks, dogs, and strange little blue things from space talk. If you do not know where it is, open and see what’s under the wrapping.
Enjoy you gift,
Santa
