Help with Dolphin Rooms

I am booked in a standard room. I have enough starwood points to upgrade to concierge and I believe the other option is club level...anyone can someone tell me the difference between the 3 and if it is worth using up my points for???

A standard room is just that--a room. Youmight possibly get an upgrade to a deluxe room, which would be a room with a view or a balcony or both, by showing your Starwoods card at check-in.

Club and concierge are the same thing at the SD; Club level gives you access to a lounge where there are breakfast items in the a.m., and lighter fare in the evening. You can see a sample menu on Glos FAQ. There are also drinks available, including bottled water, which you can take with you to the parks.

Club is especially nice if you have a large group, because it can save you a bit of money if you take advantage of it.

I decided to go with Club level for the first time this month. I will let you know in three weeks how it went!

Thanks for the info...However, I am still a bit confused..there were 2 levels of upgrades,,,,does anyone know the other?

The other level is a free room for 10000 points. If you mean the 750 upgrade versus the 1250 point upgrade...that is for each hotel to decide what to "charge" for upgrades. I believe it is because some hotels' lounges offer more...justifying the higher point cost. Either way club level is worth it for the food and the fact that your resort fee is waived, so that is another $8 a day you save. Every little bit adds up.

Now I am really confused (NO SHOCK LOL)...when I called the SPG program they def said they are 2 different levels of upgrades...the first was for 750 a night and the 2nd was for 1250 a night....there must be a difference in room categories
