Okay I am supposed to give a restuarant presentation in a week to my family and a friends family who are all going for our first trip to the world. I need help with stuff like-my choices, times and anything else i should know!
We are arriving on sunday oct 24 and leaving on friday 29-not sure what times yet but morning arrival hopefullly and evening departure hopefully.

Here is what i have:

Sunday-downtown disney dinner chef mickeys
Monday magic kingdom dinner-crystal palace
Tuesday Epcot breakfast akershus and dinner- coral reef
Wednesday- Disney hollywood studios dinner 50s primetime cafe
thursday animal kingdom dinner 1900 parkfare cinderellas dinner
friday am breakfast with friends ohana(our resort too)

My question is this..... we have 1 table service credit per day. so 5 of them. should we pay out of pocket for the princess breakfast? or cancel one of the others and just do like planet hollywood on sunday at downtown disney since we will be there anyway? Is the breakfast with friends expensive? any help would be appreciated because I have to share this with 10 ppl! Oh if it helps, we will have 4 adults going and 5 girls ages 10,9,8,6,2

Ok, I'd pay out of pocket for the cheapest meal. You can check prices here at:

I think the restaurants you've picked are great so far!:thumbsup2 We've eaten at all of those places and been pleased with the food/character interaction. I don't personally care for Planet Hollywood so I'd choose a Disney restaurant over it. You really have a good selection of places already, I wouldn't cancel any of them. Especially since you have so many little girls going too!:goodvibes

I just saw that you have Downtown Disney with Chef Mickey's? Do you mean 2 meals then that day, lunch and dinner? Chef Mickey's isn't at Downtown Disney, it's at the Contemporary Resort.

Personally, I'd cancel the day 1 meal. We always just hit Downtown on our arrival day and just pick up something quick there. That way you don't have to worry about any unforseen issues (travel delay, room not ready, etc...). Trying to get 10 people to a reservation on a travel day can be stressful epecially with 5 kids under 10yo.

Chef Micky is awesome but if in DTD then why not Earl of Sandwich. Nice variety for a counter service. The no stress to get to Chef Mickey's.

Breakfast is generally cheaper to pay out of pocket....

IMO,
Arrival day at Downtown Disney, I would eat at Wolfgang Puck Express (c/s).
Sit outside and just relax.
Next day, MK day, forget about Crystal Palace (we had a one hour wait at 4:40 in the afternoon) and do Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (just hop on the monorail).

i wasnt sure if we should do chef mickeys that night, just eat at downtown disney or maybe do ohana at our resort

We always do Ohana our first night, it's a fun tradition for us! Which resort are you staying at, the Polynesian? Usually we get to our resort by about 2pm at the latest and throw on our bathing suits and swim. Then we just kind of relax and later head to Ohana for dinner. I love this restaurant, the atmosphere is so cool and we love the food here! :thumbsup2

Downtown Disney is really fun and there's lots to see there. Were you looking to do something on your arrival day then? If so, this could be a fun option. There's also T-Rex Cafe there which is pretty fun to eat at.

Good luck with the presentation!:goodvibes

I think what i have decided is...
sunday dtd and ohana but if we dont make it no big deal
monday mk and crystal palace
tuesday epcot princess bkfst and coral reef dinner
wednesday dhs and 50s primetime for dinner
thursday ak and chef mickeys for dinner
friday leave but do lilo and stitch bkfst w/friends

we have the dining plan but we are staying club level conceirge at the poly so i am hoping to eat there most mornings and they have food throughout the day and dessert/drinks at night from what i have read so maybe i can save a little money on food here and there

It seems you have seven meals planned and five credits, correct? I'd pay OOP for Ohana breakfast, Akershus is a fixed price, but it's expensive, so I don't know if I'd pay OOP for that. How about Crystal Palace for lunch instead of dinner, the food's about the same, and it would be cheaper to pay CP lunch OOP then Akershus breakfast.

I looked at prices and lilo and stitch breakfast isnt too expensive and 50s primetime cafe isnt either... ppl have toldd me i might not want to have a sit down dinner every night-any thoughts?

We actually prefer sit down meals, especially for dinner. I don't think you have too many. With a large group such as yours, it will probably be relaxing to sit down at the end of the day and talk about the fun you've been having.

As someone else mentioned, breakfast is usually cheaper. Ohana breakfast is one of our absolute favorites, we go every trip! We also love 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi at Hollywood Studios. Those are cheaper meals too so you could pay out of pocket for them. Plus, you said you're staying club level so you could definitely do several breakfasts there before you head out to the parks. :thumbsup2

I would get rid of Coral Reef. You could eat at Rain Forest Cafe for dinner after leaving AK one night.
