We are going to be at DL for about 3 days. I think we are going to try Minnie and Friends Character Breakfast. Rainforest Cafe one night. Any other suggestions? Granville's? Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney? Does the Jazz Kitchen take reservations? Do you have to call them direct like Rainforest? T hanks in advance for the help. :wave2:

Jazz kitchen reservations can be made though the same # as Disney dining. The chicken cassouet is the best !

My favorite favorite favorite favorite place to eat is at Redd Rocket's Pizza Port in Tomorrowland and my all time absolute favorite is the fusilli pasta with chicken. It has this alfredo type sauce that is SOO good. I ask for a extra cup of sauce and get a foccacia breadstick and dip it into the alfredo, YUM!!

Now I want some, hehe!

Honestly, I can't recommend Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen.....in my opinion, the portions are WAY too small for the price of the food. And last time I was there, even with reservations, the wait was ridiculous and the service was absolutely horrible. It's very seldom that I get such poor service that I do not leave a tip, but this trip I did not leave a penny tip.
I second Redd Rocket's Pizza Port....good variety and plenty of seats. Another one I can recommend is the Plaza Inn. The portions are very large and can easily be shared if you're not big eaters. The only problem is that it tends to be crowded during prime lunch & dinner hours.
The Carnation Cafe is another good choice but it's small and the wait can be long during prime eating time.
Most people give good reviews to the Blue Bayou. I guess I'm in the minority because I don't recommend it. In my opinion, the food is only mediocre, which is surprising since it shares the same kitchen as Club 33 (so I've heard).
The DTD restaurants are mostly pretty good. I like the Rainforest and the one next to the Uva Bar that I can never remember the name of. I haven't tried the newer Mexican restaurant yet. ESPN is good, but slow.

Another character dining I like is Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel. Make sure you're really really hungry though......

New Orleans Cafe is a great spot for lunch. You can order the famous Monte Cristo, similar to those served at Blue Bayou but at a fraction of the cost. They also have Mickey shaped beignets. If you sit outside in the patio you get a great view of Rivers of America. And if you time it just right, you can eat lunch while enjoying the Pirates music show right in front of you. :cool1:
