We're heading to the world next month and I haven't decided where to stay yet!

We've stayed at POFQ twice and loved it for the quiet, the pool and the fact that it felt small. But now, my DD is interested in the All Stars. Are they really that much smaller of a room? Is it always a bit busy?

How does the bus system compare between the two? (I've never had any problem with POFQ buses, despite what I've read here).

HELP!!!

We would say POFQ. Now, we have never stayed there (we are CSR fans), but we think it is a lovely resort. We are just not big fans of the values. We find them way too crowded and too noisy for our taste. Even our kids did not like them when they were younger.

The only downside, in our opinion, to POFQ, was the food. It was't very good - and the pizza was AWFUL - my kids couldn't even eat it.....lol....

you with all star and save the money.

but arrange to drop by POFQ and see if next time she doesn't want that one.

how old is she?

She's 9 and has stayed at POFQ and OKW (a whole different story, as it was a free upgrade..)

She did love the pool at POFQ, so I was worried about the pools at value

We've stayed at the All Stars, etc. and at POFQ. The kids (now 24 and 21) loved them. They liked POFQ too, but they loved the values because of the pools, themeing (is that a word? :upsidedow ), etc. As for me, well, give me POFQ any time! :goodvibes

I would do a split stay so you can experience the All-star of your choosing and if you dont like it you can look forward to returning to POFQ.

For whatever it's worth, I did a Value resort once and will not again.

How about trying another moderate?

Funny...we have a similar situation. We stayed at POFQ in Feb. of 2006 and we LOVED it!!! We are now planning our next trip for 2009 and my DD's said "can't we stay at those cool hotels w/ all the big toys an stuff? " (Pop century) My DH and I laughed because that would certainly save us money!

I agree room size and resort size would concern me but also the pool amenities. My DH has a bad back and he used the hot tub alot at POFQ last time. I'm interested to see what others who have stayed at both have to say!
:goodvibes

POFQ for me.

I loved getting the launch downtown to eat

I loved the live music in the bar

I also highly enjoyed Pop

I have stayed at AK Lodge.

But the one I would return to is POFQ

This year for a change we are doing CSR
