Help with DCL 14 day cruise!!!

Hey folks,

I just found out about the 14 day cruises on the Magic. I can't believe that I wasn't made aware of the new route by Disney, considering my wife and I have been on multiple Disney cruises and are DVC members.

However, we missed the news and apparently both trips are booked solid. The first leg would have made a nice graduation trip for the both of us as I am finishing graduate school for good and we've both sacrificed. This leg would have been great for us.

I called DCL and a private travel agent and I'm currently on a waiting list. For all of those that know Disney better than I, have I done absolutely all I can?

Anyone out there looking to make a profit...I'd be willing to pick up some ressies for two.

The repositioning cruises as well as the Mexican Riviera cruises for Summer 2005 were announced on May 5, 2004. No one was given official advance notice although there were many rumors. The repositioning cruises sold out in about the first 24-48 hours but then both had rooms re-open when deposits were due and not everyone paid. Since then they have sold out again but there will probably be rooms opening back up when final payments are due.

My recomendation would be to stay on the wait list and if you have not heard back from them by mid-March, I would call on March 16th. Final payments for the Westbound Repositioning are due on March 15th. Good Luck!! 'Hope you can make it on board with us!!

I agree. I think that there will be a fair amount of non-payments and cancellations right before the final pay date. Since they need to cancel outside of 60 days I would bet that those who are not going to make full payment will cancel a few days before deadline. If you are on waitlists I bet you will get in. You may want to check allseastravel.com. They are showing some room rates, they may still have a room or two in their inventory. At 60 days out when final payments are due, more rooms may open up.

Or check into the return trip!

Have you tried DU or All Seas travel? They specialize in DCL, so you might get lucky.

Thanks all...I tried all seas this morning and was told that there were none left and the DCL wasn't even taking a wait list anymore for the first leg.

I guess I'm lucky that I got on the Wait List yesterday, so I guess now...it's just a matter of praying.

Don't feel bad...we have been on 10 DCL cruises and nothing was sent out ahead of time from DCL in terms of notification of a new itinerary.....I am always on this board and that is how we knew when to book.

I booked the east bound Repo cruise on May 5th too. I had a few days warning about the special West coast cruises from www.Mousesavers.com. I check that site daily to find out any Disney deals.
My advice: check www.mousesavers.com daily!!!!

Unless you can find a TA who booked a block of cabins and hasn't resold them (all seas does this), the wait list is your best bet. Call them every 30 days or so....and especially at the 60 day window!

I really doubt that they sold blocks of cabins to TAs for these cruises as they sold out so quickly.

Did u check With Disney vacation club u may be able to get a room through them ??? last i knew they had a few cats left
none with verandahs however give them a call...

Bet they are all gone.... hope to See u on the may trip ..

60 day mark will be when u may get your room...

FYI, There is nada available from DVC, I called DCL and was advised that they doubted if any cabins would be available for this cruise on pointd, But I think at the 60 day mark things might open up. We have a cash reservation but would really like to do this trip on points.
