Hi JAA's Mom!
Well . . . here's what I found in Birnbaum's WDW guide . . .
the shortest lines and smallest crowds are: The second week of January through the first week of February; late April through late May; the week after Labor Day until Thanksgiving; the week after Thanksgiving through the week before Chirstmas.
My thought is this . . . you get better hotel deals during this Value Season, the kids are still in school, not let out for Summer break (like August), and the weather is much more nicer, not as hot.
The guide also said that from June through Labor Day, the lines are the longest and the crowds are the largest.
However, if you go a few weeks later, say the second week of May, you will still hit the Value season (smaller crowds), and you may take advantage of the new Disney shuttle service. That is, if you are staying on Disney property. That service starts on 5 May.
Hope this helps! Have a magical day!
