DD 5 wants this for Christmas, we don't have any type of x-box. play station, etc. Are there options for us? Are there any Disney songs? I am totally clueless!

Don't want to spend more than $50, their big gift is a Disney cruise, but we need the Santa gift!

TIA!

Unfortunately, you are not going to be able to get Dance Dance Revolution for anywhere near the $50 dollars you want to spend. This is especially true if you don't own a Xbox/Playstation. I think you would probably be doing well to get set up for $150. That would be a used Xbox/Playstation 2 and a game and dance pad. You may not be able to do it quite that cheap though.

There is an old Disney DDR that is for the first Playstation that is now rare and relatively hard to get. That alone would be well over your $50 budget.

This is just my personal opition....I think that a 5 yo is way too young for DDR..thats like the "Hot party" thing to play with at parties for kids my age...some of songs have inaporiate messages...NO DISNEY SONGS... there are no disney songs at all...Japanse cartoon songs, punk band songs, pop songs etc. but thats just my opotion

plus my friend had to pay $200 for all of the stuff needed

hey - for a little kiddo, there is one that goes with the Vsmile system,,,maybe you could check that out- i know walmart had the vsmile for $30 today - and most of their games arent too $$,,,,or if your kiddo is into veggie tales, i saw that they have one at the family CHristian store for $44 i think - might be on sale this weekend!!! its either computer based or plug and play,,,

We got the plug & play version last year and have used the heck out of it!!

DD(7) loves to play it. She doesn't score really high but she like to dance to the songs and she thinks she is doing a great job.

I think ours was around $20 at Dillards or Foleys.

HEy hold your horses - we may have found the perfect solution!!!!

Konami is coming out with a plug and play version of Disney Dance Dance Revolution - to be released on 12/1/06!!!!!! I found it on the eb games site!!!! its supposed to be $29.99!!! sounds perfect for you!!!

hope this helps!! :cool1:

Konami also has a My First Dance Dance Revolution that looks really similar to the original. It sells for about $30. :dancer:
