Friday (tomorrow) We leave on a red-eye and get to SNA at 9am
Taking Uber or Taxi to our hotel, the GCH! So excited because we've never stayed there! Celebrating our 25th anniversary, so wanted something special...
We don't have a hard & fast plan, other than if they don't let us check in early, we will probably get a bite to eat, since we are so close to DCA, probably head to Food & Wine & get our munchies on! Then as soon as the room is ready, I want to take a nap! After we wake up, I'd love to head back over to DCA to enjoy some rides..
I tentatively booked a Chef's Counter meal at Napa Rose, tentative because the only time/day they had available was tomorrow at 8:30pm. I understand it's a long dining experience, 3 hours! That would mean we would miss the Paint the Night, Fireworks, etc. and not get out of there until almost midnight! Not my preference on time, but it sounds really cool!! We may end up eating somewhere else earlier if we get too hungry, but I guess we can always have a late lunch to tide us over. What about the PTN Aladdin meal? Can we eat it way earlier & then watch the parade later? I am really considering this so we don't have to wait for hours like we did in November!!
My initial plan was to get to bed early this night since we'll be tired from our all night flight, but if we stick with the Chef's Counter meal, this will be impossible!

Saturday the 9th, Magic Morning at Disneyland! 7a, so want to be there by 6:30am. This is going to be tougher if we are eating until 11:30p!

The usual Fantasyland rides, then Tomorrowland for Buzz & maybe Star Tours, if I'm not too dizzy!
Not sure where we will eat lunch, but we have our favorites. Probably head back to the hotel for a rest! I want to enjoy the beautiful lobby too, especially if the day is rainy, it would be nice to sit by the roaring fire!
FP for Indy, and ride Pirates, HM, maybe get a FP for Splash. I don't know when, but sometime when it starts getting crowded, head back to hotel via DCA.
No real dinner plans this night, but I love Cafe Orleans, what are other indoor options since it's supposed to be raining the most on this day?

Sunday the 10th, Magic Morning at DCA! This is our last day! :( Head to RSR or TSMM first? I want to ride on RSR at night if possible. I'm not a Screamin' kind of gal, my DH loves it, so we may split up a bit or I'll be waiting for him nearby...same with TOT, I don't do it.

Any suggestions based on the weather forecast? Friday & Sunday seem like the best days weatherwise at this point in the forecast. Saturday calls for a lot of rain, therefore maybe the parade & fireworks may be cancelled?? Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!

Sounds like you have a great trip planned!
The only thing that comes to mind is that if you want a romantic meal with more flexibility on timing, we just had an excellent dinner at Carthay Circle. (Lamb scaloppine...which sounded weird, but was really, really delish.) Great atmosphere and cocktails there.

Whatever you do, have a great time and Happy Anniversary!

It sounds like you will have to make some compromises because of the rain. If seeing PTN and the fireworks is a priority then I would cancel Napa Rose and do those on Friday night. You could try to do dinner at Café Orleans or Carthay Circle instead if they have a time that works with your plan. I'm not sure about Aladdin's Oasis. When I did it for the F! package I ate at 6:30ish and it worked out that I was done about 45 minutes before the first showing of F!, not sure how early they allow you to eat with the new PTN package.

For Sat, if it's not raining first thing in the morning then definitely get those outdoor rides out of the way! For Sun, if you do EMH then I would head to TSMM first and ride as many times as you can with the short wait then pull a FP at park opening for RSR. You could probably pull another one a few hours later for a night ride, just watch the app to see what return times they are giving out. Also, remember that single rider line is your friend so for some reason if you're not able to get a FP for an evening ride then you can always do SRL.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I wish that I could get DH to go just the two of us some time, but he prefers it when we bring our son! Enjoy!!

Yes, we are very excited! We love Carthay too, ate there a couple of years ago when our daughter got engaged! Definitely a contender!! Loved Primms Punch!

I know we might have to compromise, problem is, I want to do it all! ;) I'm used to having 5 days at the parks, so 3 seems like a rush to me! Sunday may end up being the day we do the Aladdin show/PTN pkg, since it seems like Saturday is the day that it will rain potentially all day. :( Thanks for the heads up on the TSMM, so you think there will still be FP for RSR when we return from the Paradise Pier area?

Oh yes, FPs for RSR should still be available at least until 11am. I hope the rain isn't too bad for you!
