Help with confirmation number

We booked through AAA. I went in the other day and had her print out a new receipt and made sure to ask her for the Disney confirmation number we would have to give when we called (or went online) to make ADR's to unlock the 90+10.

Our ADR window opens on Saturday. I tried to go into the dining program online today and enter our confirmation number and phone number just to make sure I had the right info. It came back and said that they could not retrieve my reservation. I tried every phone number we could have possibly given (even the AAA number).

I'm wonder what the problem is:

1) Do we only have the AAA confirmation number and not the Disney one? The number she circled for us to use for ADR's is an 8 digit number with no letters or special characters. Does that sound like a Disney number?

2) Did they get our phone number wrong?

3) Can you just not enter that information yet? Will the dining system not retrieve your reservation until you hit the 90 day window?

I will probably call Disney tomorrow, but I thought if someone on here could possibly solve the issue for me it might make it easier and save me a phone call.

Also, who would you call on this? The reservation line? Some customer service? Dining?

Our 90 day is today and we booked with AAA and I ended up calling. I still can't see my confirmations online.

Wondering if you just can't see the reservation until the 90 day mark? I booked through Disney and tried to bring it up in the dining system after reading your post. It stated reservation not found for me, too.

No, my 90 days is not until June 28th. I've been able to pull up my Sept 26th-Oct 4th reservation with no problem. In fact, I switched this week from free dining to the AP discount code. I went online through the online dining link, to make sure I could still pull the new reservation up and was able to do so with no problem. It said something along the lines of 'Your reservation at CSR for Sept 26th-Oct 4th has been retrieved'. Then there was a little block just below, that said 'do you want to disassociate this reservation from your dining?'. Now hopefully I'll be able to pull it up this Sunday when it's time to make my ADRs:rotfl:.

Ok, I called Disney this morning and they confirmed that I did have the right confirmation number and the telephone number was correct in the system

She told me that the message I got was because my 90 day window had not opened yet, and that tomorrow morning at 6:00 it should find my information fine to make ADR's.

She certainly sounded like she knew what she was saying, I sure hope she was right. If not, I can call at 7:00, but I will be up at 5:00 am our time to make online reservations, and I am not going to be too happy if I wasted an hour of sleep.

From what I was told if you book through AAA, you are not able to do the ADR online for 90+. I guess AAA buys your reservation and only the AAA agent can do ADR online... if you want 90+10 you have to call :)

That is certainly possible, I know some people have had problems with that with travel agencies. The CM I spoke with did not seem to think it would be a problem logging on at 6:00 tomorrow and making our reservations. I hope she was right. I'll report back tomorrow on how it goes.

You don't need a confirmation number to make your ADRs, as they are open to people staying off-property as well as those without a DP.

Do try to have all your info ready for your trip, but don't let not having it yet stop you from getting your ADRs as early as possible.

The online system is apparently not currently set up to accept reservation numbers from anyone who booked through a travel agent - or DVC members. You may not be able to make 90 + 10 reservations online and may have to try calling.

I used AAA also. When I called to make ADRs at my 90 day mark, the confirmation number was correct, but our address is wrong in their system. Not sure about the phone number.

But since my name matched and I was able to verify the dates of stay and the resort, I was able to make our ADRs by phone.

You can make ADRs online, but they won't be "attached" to your resort reservation. I've done a few that way in the last week or so.

Yes - but you can't make 90 + 10 ADRS for staying onsite UNLESS your resort reservation is attached to your online ADRs. They need to confirm that you are staying onsite to allow you access to 90 + 10. Unfortunately it seems the online system will currently recognize only room reservations made by the guest directly through CRO.

There is a whole sticky thread at the top of this forum on the status of online reservations.

Sorry. You're right. Forgot about the +10 for a second there.

If you want to take advantage of the 90+10 you have to call them in for now.

can you then use the on-line system later to access your reservations, or do you need to call each time?

And just so I am completely clear, once I am within 90 days of all the dates I am staying, I can use the on-line system even if I booked thru AAA, right?

I am going to call on my 90-day mark, but want to be able to keep trying in the ensuing weeks for anything I can't get when I call.

Thanks!

As long as you are within the 90 day mark you can do anything you want online.

This is exactly what I was told. I couldn't do the 90+10 online because I booked through AAA. My agent got some of what I wanted but not all. I had to call instead of going online to try for the rest of the stuff. Disney told me that with the AAA agent booking it, I can't book online and have it connected with my reservation. I booked online without the reservation information, but could only do 90 dyas out.
