We're heading to Disney in March 
and have a 19 hour drive ahead of us. 
I've booked one of the Disney Pirate Adventure cruises for the kids (Children ages 4-12 will be outfitted with a red/white striped pirate Mickey hat (or a bandana) and board their pirate ship (pontoon boat) under the supervision of the "pirate" crew. At each "port of call" a new treasure awaits. At the final stop, they can share their booty while enjoying lunch.) and am not telling the kids ahead of time.
I thought I would put together clues that they will recieve at rest stops on the drive down in hopes of keeping them occupied. I've searched the boards and found some helpful clues that others have used, but could use some more help! The kids are 8 & 5 (and were only 5 & 2 last time we went). I thought with the first clue I would provide them with a map of the "World". Here's what I have so far:
Clue # 1: (this one is longer, more like instructions)
A treasure awaits the two of you
Clues will lead you to something good
Your treasure is not underground
That's not where it will be found
You must read between the lines
Dig into your curious minds
So off you go, working together
The treasure at the end is something you'll cherish forever!
Clue # 2: Seek out the red roofed resort that resides on the Seven Seas.
Clue #3: Shiver me timbers ye landlubbers, a Harbor ye must find.
Clue #4: Don these shirts my Privateers. ( I am having pirate Mickey ear shirts made for them and thought I would give them with this clue?)
Clue # 5: Gather ye sea legs and climb aboard.
Clue #6: Swab the deck as ye Captain weighs anchor.
Clue #7: Set sail for Ports of Call, in search of precious cargo ye shall find.
