Flying out of chicago midway on southwest, driving to the airport does anyone have experience with parking lots on or around. Looking for the best cheapest place to park. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure of where the lots are as we have family take us to the airport, but as a lifelong Chicago area resident, I would definitely make sure that any lot around Midway where I would park for long term is fenced and has security. You can do an internet search for Midway park and fly and you should be able to come up with some info.

Thanks, i found that info from park and fly, we don't usually fly we always drive. Just trying to find out if one lot is better than the another or if they are all the same. Each one has a shuttle and are cheaper than parking on airport property so just trying to find the best option.

How long are you staying? Last Sept., we stayed for 14 days. It was cheaper for us to rent a room at the Double Tree Hotel in Alsip. They allow you to park your car there for 14 days on either side of your hotel stay. The room was $120 plus tax. Parking at the airport would have been around $196. We did save a little money this way. Plus it was like we started our vacation one night sooner! The hotel was beautiful! They have a wonderful shuttle that took us to and from Midway. That service was great! We will definately do this again. There are other hotels that participate in the program, but some of them didn't look so great. The Double Tree was wonderful, and it saved us money. The lot was safe. We had no problems at all. Any questions, ask, I'd be happy to answer.

FYI, it's called sleep, park, fly or something along those lines.

I have been using Park Ride Fly USA for years. They are about two miles north of Midway and have a secure lot. I have never had any issues leaving my car there. When you enter the shuttle will meet you where you park then take you to departures. When you return from your trip you just call them and they will pick you up and drop you at your car. This is so much nicer than waiting for a random shuttle like you will find at other lots. If you sign up at their website they usually will send 10% off coupons and they do have a frequent user program to earn free days.
The cost is $7.25 + tax for uncovered parking or $11.25 + tax for covered.

Hope that helps. Have a great trip! :)

we just used park, ride, fly on a trip two weeks ago. you can choose indoor or outdoor. there are often discount codes to get their rate even lower--sign up for their e-mails. it was a short trip, though, and it would almost have been been worth it to use MDW's long term garage. it seemed to take forever for their shuttle to get my dh to the airport (he dropped me off there first with the luggage and my scooter). no problems getting back, and we even disassembled the scooter and took it on their shuttle. for a longer trip we'll use them again.

We used this same service in January and it was great!!

This year, we are flying from Milwaukee to Orlando, cheaper flights and parking, almost a 50/50 drive since we are on the north side of Chicago.

I just wanted to say "I LOVE THIS BOARD!" :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I came here looking for what people thought about Midway Ride Park & Fly, and I found exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks for the great information!

I signed up for the frequent parker program and got 5 points just for signing up. I'm going to stay 8 days, so we will earn a free day the first time we park there!

Not too shabby!

Thanks all!!!
Jenny

DARN!

It says one per "reservation". Thanks for posting!

Jenny

I have been using them for years and always got 1 point per day. It looks like there may be seperate points for the actual Midway location and seperate points for Park Ride Fly. I am not sure if Midway Park Ride Fly still has their own seperate frequent user program still or not. This is what my account looks like:

Frequent User

User Information

ParkRideFlyUSA.com Points: 4 (10 required for free day)
Midway Park Ride & Fly Points: 13 (10 required for free day)

Either way I am sure you will be happy with their service. :)

We have used Park Ride Fly at least 3 times and have never had any type of issues whatsoever.
