Help with check in time at Villas at Wilderness Lodge...

We were lucking enough to get an exchange with II to the Villas at Wilderness Lodge and I notice on our paperwork that they state check-in time at 4pm do they stick with that time like other timeshare places do or does DVC try to get you into your room as early as possible like the Disney resorts do, I have a little one and I am arriving early and was hoping I could get into our room to rest before going to the parks.

I would also like to know around what time did people get checked into their rooms?

anytime with Disney.

yes, sometimes you can get in when you arrive - but only if a villa is available.

ask for room ready when you get there and see if that helps.

I have check in as early as 6:45am and late as 6:00pm - both times got to the resort at 6:30am.

The earliest I've ever gotten into a villa was about 1pm. I seem to get into studio's earlier than 1BR villas. I have had to wait as late as 4:30pm to get in to a 1BR. A lot of it depends on the occupancy level. If they've had a lot of check outs, it takes longer to get them ready for occupancy.

its the luck of the draw on this one....you may want to be prepared to go to the pool when you arrive....try and get their early so you can get a table with an umbrella to spread out with some shade so the baby can nap....I agree earliest I got in was 1pm, and we check in early every time

1) As mentioned above, you can do the check-in any time after 6:00am.
2) You may get your room from 6:00am up until about 8:00pm.
3) It just depends upon
. . . how booked the resort was the previous night
. . . how many housekeepers show up
. . . how messy the rooms are left by guests
. . . how lucky you are

Every trip, we arrive around 9 or 10 a.m. I guess it just depends on the timing, but sometimes our room has been ready and other times we headed over to the MK and waited awhile to call and see if it was ready yet. If you aren't picky about location of the room etc. you might have an easier chance getting in sooner. You will love the villas at WL!
