OK - I am REALLY trying to get some character meals figured out so I can make my ADR's tonight when I get home. We are going to WDW at the end of September on the dining plan. :thumbsup2 So far the only one I KNOW we are doing is Breakfast with the Princess'. It will be myself, DH, DS(6) and DD(3). Any other suggestions for character meals? My kids pretty much like all the characters but my son does prefer Mickey, Donald, Goofy...etc the most. :) I would like to only use one TS as opposed to 2 for the meals.

TIA!
Sue

not sure about the dining plan points but chef mickey's is great, and sounds like the place for your son. ;)

I'm not familiar with the dining plan so I don't know how many credits it is but we LOVE the character breakfast at OHanna. It's in the Polonisian resort so it's on the Monorail line. We go straight from breakfast to Magic Kingdom, but you could also take the Monorail to Epcot.

The characters are Mickey, Pluto, Leilo, Stitch & sometimes Goofy. They serve family style, which means all you can eat but it comes to your tablel so there's no up & down to get food. The menu is fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, Mickey waffles, fresh OJ, milk coffee and yummy Hawaiian Pineapple bread.

Bet you'll love it!

We have done these character meals, breakfast buffet at Chef Mickey's, in the Contemporary, Dinner buffet at the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom and The Garden Grille in Epcot.

We love Chef Mickey's (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale & Donald was greeting out front) and Crystal Palace (Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet). We really enjoyed both and are doing them again.

Besides CRT (2 TS credits), our favorite character meals are breakfast at Chef Mickey's, lunch at Crystal Palace, and dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. All three are 1 TS credit meals.

The characters for breakfast at Chef Mickey's are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, & Dale. (I think Donald is also there at dinner.) The characters at Crystal Palace (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) are Pooh & Friends. The characters at Liberty Tree Tavern are Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, & Dale.

We love the fun atmosphere at Chef Mickey's (napkin-twirling, singing, etc.). It's also a very cool restaurant w/ the monorail running right above - very "Disney"!

Crystal Palace is a lovely restaurant, and the buffet is very yummy - more selections than a typical buffet.

Liberty Tree Tavern is served family-style. Everything except for the mac & cheese is tasty. The atmosphere is pleasant & relaxing - good character interaction.

This year, we're also trying Donald's Breakfastasauras & lunch at the Garden Grill - both 1 TS credit meals as well.

The characters at Donald's Breakfastasauras are Donald, Mickey, Chip, & Dale. (I'm not sure exactly which characters are there besides Donald - we're going mainly for the dinosaur decor for my son to help compensate for the 2 princess meals we're doing.) The characters at the Garden Grill (lunch or dinner) are Mickey, Chip, & Dale - maybe Pluto too. The Garden Grill restaurant slowly rotates which I think our kids will find neat.

We didn't like our dinner at PSB (Akershus) last May, so, this year, we're trying a PSB breakfast - 1 TS credit.

We went this past Dec. and loved Cape May's at the Yacht and Beach Club mickey and friends breakfast, Ohana's stitch & mickey and friends c.b., Crystal Palace pooh and friends,c.d., Chef Mickeys mickey and friends c.b.&d, and Garden Grille mickey, pluto, chip and dale c.d.. They were all great and we recommend all of them. Also they are all 1 TS credit :thumbsup2 . :tink: pixiedust:

What do the c.d&b's mean in your post? :)

Thanks!

And thanks for the reccommendations! :) GOing to go over this with DH tonight and figure out what we want to do!!! :cheer2:

C.d. Character Dinner, C.b. Character Breakfast.

Do you already have your ADR for the Princess Breakfast? We are going last week in September and as of yesterday still no way in for a breakfast....so I booked lunch instead.

2 Credits for Breakfast and Lunch at Castle, rest are one.
There is a great chart you can print out on WDW site which shows the entire Dining Plan... http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...gespecific/eng/nontheme/tickets/MYWDining.pdf

We like the Park Faire 1900 for Dinner. :goodvibes My DD is now 6. We've also enjoyed LTT for dinner with Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and the Chipmunks. Your DD will especially love Breakfast with the Princesses. Have the cameras ready as they come by quickly! (The cinammon rolls are yummy! :thumbsup2 )
We haven't done CM or CP. DD doesn't like Pooh anymore.

Have fun!

IF you Ds is anything like mine he would love to eat with Stitch. We went to Ohana's for breakfast on our last trip and he loved it!

We always do Chef Mickey's , Crystal Palace , and Cape May for breakfast on every trip, we have done others as well for all meals , but these are our personal favorites.
