Help with changing resorts

I am currently booked at the Pop for 11/7 - 11/12 but I really want to upgrade since I anticipate this being my last WDW for a while. Unfortunately all the deluxes are booked up. I want to keep checking but I'm wondering if it is better to check online or over the phone. Also do you think I will be more likely to find something 5 days out, since that is when cancellations without fees are due.

Keep checking ... both ways ... and yes your chances of finding something increase at the 5 day mark. Anything inside of that draws a fee. But, I would check prior to your five days as someone who was going for two weeks might cancel and it would open up the days sooner. There are lots of reports of people being diligent in trying everyday ... and eventually getting what they want. Don't give up. Magic always happen when it is Disney.
