I read on here a while back about sending your family a care package to your resort before you leave. I need specifics on this, please!! How big of a box can you send? How do you address it? I was planning on packing food items for our breakfasts' such as dry cereal, crackers for snax, etc. Can ya'll help us out?!! TIA!!

We sent a HUGE box last August. We got the box at UHaul and it weighed about 35 lbs. It cost around $35 to ship via UPS but it was sooo worth it. We went umbrellas, ponchos, styrofoam coolers, and anything that wasn't an absolute must, just in case the box wasn't there when we got there. Our box got to the POP on Wed and we got there on Sat and they held it with no problem. We also shipped the same box back home at about $27.00. It is so much easier and then you don't have as much to pack in suitcases. Hope this helps!!

Any body else send packages? Or have any other helpful tips? I am just so thankful this oppurtunity is available, this will help us out so much!!!!! :cheer2:

we're planning on sending a package also w/oatmeal,bowls,juice boxes for the kids, etc. instead of sending back leftovers we're just gonna pay it forward and leave it w /a family we found that is arriving the same day we leave. hopefully this will curtail our snack spending!!

We went last February and shipped a good size box via UPS to Pop Century. I put granola bars, juice packs, cereal, Parmalat Milk (milk on the shelf - not dry milk - it is regular milk that is packaged differently and great for cereal!), cookies, paper products, etc.

We put everything in the box, used it while we were there and left the empty box for recycling. It was great! The kids ate every morning while we packed up for the day. Then, they were good to go until we stopped for an early 11 a.m. lunch!

We are going again in January, and I am doing the same thing. :thumbsup2

Call the hotel you are staying in and get the info from them. Ours was waiting on us at the Front Desk when we arrived.

Have fun!
