Hi, my stepson asked if I could buy him and his family gold annual passes.

He does not live with me and we don't have the same last name. Will that be a problem.

Also, can he pickup the tickets without me at disney?

Each person over 18 years old will need to show ID to claim their annual passes, are you a Florida resident? if so, your stepson can’t take advantage of any Florida residents discounts unless his ID show a Fl address or is aunder 18. I don’t know about DVC.
Edited to add If you’re using your credit card you need to be present to activate the passes.

You may not buy DVC annual passes for family members who do not reside at your address.

The only way around this is to put him on the deed as a owner of your DVC contract. Then he and his family would be eligible for annual passes. Gold passes are only for Florida residents or direct DVC members ( or resale purchased prior to April of 2016, I think was the cutoff date). Other wise they can get the platinum passes but hey cost more $$

And there are significant legal issues to adding them to the deed that should be investigated and discussed, and whose drawbacks may outweigh an AP discount's benefit.

I’ve read that minors don’t need to have the same address as you to get the discount. I my case my 12yo daughter lives with her mother and even so she should qualify.

I’m guessing that your dependent children would still qualify if they lived in the other parent’s house but not just ANY minor you wish to buy a discounted pass. However since minors don’t have ID with an address it would be hard to prove they don’t live in the DVC member’s household.

I guess that’s the reason. Thanks for clarifying.

This would be true. My niece lives with her mother but my brother is the DVC owner. He has purchased DVC APs for her in the past with no problems. She turned 18 this year, so I guess that changes things for the future.

I’ve never been able to buy an annual pass for people outside of my address. The only discount I was able to pass on was the special ticket events.
