DD is 3 and not quite understanding the whole autograph thing yet, so we are going to avoid the traditional autograph book. I've read the ideas here of getting the Character Encyclopedia autographed, but I think that too would be more fun for her when she understands collecting the autographs. That did give me another idea though..
DD has a bunch of Disney Storybook Collection books - basically big anthologies of Disney stories, including this Christmas Storybook Collection book:
Our trip is the first weekend of the holiday season at DLR, so we're thinking it would be fun to use this book as her autograph book. We have the bedtime favorites version and the main storybook version..but this may be the only time we go to DLR at the holidays so thought this book would be most appropriate. There's 18 or so stories in it...for the characters that have their own story in the book, there is a title page w/a picture where they can sign (see above). We were thinking that characters that don't have their own story could sign the front/back covers (there's 3 pages in the front and 3 in the back that are thick cardstock, all blank pages, that would be great for this).
I think this will make a really great souvenir for the trip for her, and also just a great childhood memento too. I'd like to write some kind of inscription on the inside to DD...something short and sweet (so it doesn't take up too much autograph room). Maybe a Disney quote (from walt or the movies?) or song lyrics? I'm terrible at coming up with stuff like that though.
Any ideas that anyone has would be great! Just tossing stuff out there is even helpful - seriously, anything goes
