Help with AAA - parking and tickets!

We're staying offsite on our visit next July and plan to buy 10 day park hopper tickets with the waterpark options, etc. (expiring). I keep reading about people with the AAA parking passes and recommendations to buy tickets through AAA.

My questions:

1. If we already have our room, can we still buy tickets through AAA or do they only do packages? Can you buy only basic tickets or add on hoppers and water parks?

2. If you can buy the tickets, are the prices similar or cheaper? I searched the entire AAA site and couldn't find the prices for AAA tickets for Disney (I found Universal and everywhere else!)

3. If you only buy the tickets through them, do you still get the preferred parking?

4. All the preferred parking does is let you park closer, right? Not give you free parking or anything? If we're usually at the parks before opening, would we even need this? Do they still have spaces available if you go back in the evenings or is it primarily just used in the mornings?

AAA tickets: I found them on the website, a couple of months ago. If the prices are not on there now, just call your local AAA office. You can usually buy them there, but sometimes "sattelite" AAA's don't carry them, or an office might be out of the tickets you want. They may not carry all variations of options. So they may carry 5 day hoppers, but to get 6- day hoppers, they may only sell them with water park plusses already added on.

We bought our 5 day hoppers from our AAA office, and they gave me the parking pass there. I did not book a package-just booked room only through Disney myself, but still got a AAA discount on the room. There was a slight discount on the tickets through AAA. Can't remember how much. I had to go to a AAA office a little further away, because my closest office is a satelite office, and they didn't sell tickets. Also, the agent at that office hadn't even heard of the parking pass.

The parking pass was great. We parked right up close to the enterance. Cn't tell you how that would work if you get there late, as we always got there at opening.

For next year, I've already bought our tickets from Disney online, as AAA didn't have the exact option for tickets that we wanted. I'm hoping I can still get the parking pass.

Thanks - we're new to the Green Bay area so I'll have to find out where the office is here, call them and find out if they're a satellite and what they have and where the nearest would be otherwise. Thanks for your help!
