Hey guys I need some help, we're planning our wedding and I want to add some Disney flare to our wedding! We're getting married in Sept 2014, right now were only have 3 Disney pumpkins, need some help on what else to get? Don't want to go overboard, was thinking Disney table names gift bags for our candy bar? All ideas are welcome

You may wish to post on Disney weddings and honeymoon board on this site. very nice ladies there.

We had a Cinderella type wedding (hubby proposed with a glass slipper at Disney..the rest kinda wrote itself!). Nothing we did was over the top but what are you looking for?? Decor ideas, what do do, etc? I would be happy to help!!

My daughter got married in April and they added several Disney touches to there wedding. Their processional was Beauty and the Beast and the recessional was A Whole New World. They used castle cut outs for the table numbers. We took pages from Disney coloring books and put coloring pages and crayons out for the handful of kids that were there (although I believe that there were more adults coloring than kids). Michael's sells plastic glass slippers that are cute.

You can put Some kind if Disney theme on the underside of your shoes. My one friend found a lady on the Internet that hand painted Cinderella and Prince Charming on the bottom. It cost like $30 if I recall. When they knelt at the altar you could see it. It was a cute touch.

Another friend's niece just got married and she bought some Disney themed decals at the store or online. And put them on herself. I don't think they were as detailed as the other shoes. But cheaper and still the same effect.

There's a disbrides group on fb (it's a bit more private than the discussion board here) but there are a lot of amazing ideas there. It's open for people not only getting married at Disney, but also having at home receptions.

One of the coolest things I've seen was pretty recent, each table had a different theme, and it was by different rides/experiences. They did Space Mountain, but they also did The Land. It was super adorable.

My DD is getting married Halloween 2014.
She has decided she wants a Jack & Sally Nightmare before Christmas Cake.
At Hobby Lobby they have a frame of Cinderellas Carriage that has been decorated in fall theme that she wants. Also using some Disney music.

They have really nice toasting glasses from Aribias (sp?) brothers at DTD, you could have them engraved, they have Cinderella, Belle, Mickey and Minnie, lots to choose from.

Table name of parks, rides, Icon's in the park instead of table numbers.

For the candy bar, you could do Mickey candy check out the dollar store. There is also pasta in the shape of Mickey heads, if you were going to do a pasta dish.

Also cake pops in the shape of Mickey heads, or mickey shaped cookies.

You could put hidden Mickeys around the reception venue, and let the guest find them. This gets people up and moving.

Disney movie soundtracks, before and after the ceremony and you could use for dinner music as well.

At each place setting, or near the whatever option you are using for the guest book, you could leave a cut out of a mickey head, and ask guest to write a note to the bride and groom. Have a cute box covered in Disney paper of course or a basket your could use Disney ribbon to decorate it for everyone to slip them in. Then when you get back from your Mickeymoon, you can create a picture with them, and add some wedding or Mickeymoon pictures.

Also check out Pinterest. Tons of ideas there! I have a whole board devoted to Disney wedding ideas :)

for my wedding i made candy bars and put mouse ears on them for favors, my wedding cake was white with pink mickey silloetts all over and the cake topper was mickey and minnie
also my centerpieces were a mirror picture frame with a white pillar candle with a baby pic of my husband and i and the other side had a mickey head in pink bee wax

of course we had disney music playing with other songs of course and we honeymooned in disney

My fiance and I are getting married October of this year (2013), our wedding theme is actually The Nightmare Before Christmas. We had this exact thought process....we wanted the theme but didn't want it to overtake the elegance of a wedding, nor did we want it to turn into a glorified Halloween party.

So, I (The groom), created sand art in Jack Skellingtons colors, purchased and created a very large vinyl quote from the movie and framed it to post at the reception. My fiance is having small medallions with Jack Skellingtons face tied into the bridesmaids flower bouquets.

Small candy bar table with punch bowl filled with packaged candies.

We are also setting up a black Christmas tree with white lights inside the reception hall with empty boxes wrapped as presents, just to give it that "look and feel".

Also the table names are are going to be characters from the movie.

Cake topper is The Nightmare Before Christmas custom made with our names and date.

Instead of a guest book we purchased small plain ornaments that our guests will sign and hang on the tree.

Hmmm lets see what else......oh yeah, the music....as guests arrive the DJ is going to play the opening theme song from the movie and when it's over he will play the final song in the movie.

We're also toying with the idea of a fog machine on the dance floor only.

Oh yeah and lastly, for now, for place cards so people know where to sit.....we're getting small 3"x3" boxes and wrapping them as presents, the name tags on the makeshift presents will show them where to sit. :)

We incorporated Disney into out wedding. Our cake topper was Mickey and Minnie. The tables were labeled with Disney names, our table was Cinderella and Prince Charming.
The guests walked into the hordvers hour to Be Our Guest and other Beauty and the Beast music..
We had the little plastic "glass" slippers holding the table cards (my dad actually had to cut the little slit in each slipper for the card to fit and be able to stand up)

For my wedding, when guests were arriving for the ceremony, we had the Disney fairy tale wedding cd which is like a bunch of Disney love songs but in smooth jazz form. I love it lol

I love the idea of the table names being Disney Themed, do you just make they up yourself or can you bye them?

We had a lot of Up touches at our wedding (we just love Ellie and Carl!)

We used the Ellie and Carl song as our processional
We had an "Our Adventure Book" with pictures of us in it
Our 'guest book' was a poster board with cartoon pictures of us holding balloon strings and guest signed little paper balloons and pasted them on there
And we had vintage bottlecap 'Ellie Badges' as a favor

We also played Dave Brubeck's Dave Digs Disney during dinner

That's awesome, we got engaged at Cinderella's Round Table, she had no idea. I was thinking maybe table name disney movies or park rides! I just don't know, maybe bags for the candy bar with Disney theme on them? Help help. ;0) thanks

Yes, you should ask this question on the Disney wedding subforum.....they (we) have loads of great ideas and you don't need to be having your wedding at WDW or DL to post there! :thumbsup2

Yep! This! ;)

You could name each table for a land (or ride) and have a photo of you guys in front of the ride or land. You can have cute table cards made on lots of the photo printing websites. You could have a Disney guestbook or a Mickey and Minnie cake topper. You could wear glass slippers ;) Are you going on a Disney honeymoon? You could take your send off photos or do your last dance in the bride and groom ears.

Congrats!
