We don't drive alot for our vacations, but, this year we decide to save some money and drive. can anyone tell me which one I can get on a budget?:confused3:):)

thank you.

I have the Tom Tom One 3rd edition. Very basic, no text to speach. I saw someone got it for $59.

if you are going to drive a rental, sometimes you can get a car equipped with them.

I used to do that for work, when I had to trvel.

then got my own that works in my PDA. Then got a magellan neverlost for DW's car.

The tom tom series if a good basic one. The magellan that I got for DW is good , in that it can be removed from the car and taken with you.

I think tigerdirect had the tomtom 1 for $59. Staples and target I believe have a omnitech that is really cheap as well.

Here is the one we got a few months ago. It's listed for $49.99 after the $20 mail in rebate, and appears to be refurbished. It's a good little basic GPS, we've used it a bunch, as we moved from Kansas to Arkansas 3 weeks ago, and we still are using it to find out way around.
This is the site we ordered ours from. They have fast, free shipping. My boyfriend buys all of his computer parts (he's a computer geek) from them, and raves about how much he loves Newegg.com. :wizard:

I have also got a lot of componets for building computers from Newegg and TigerDirect (price compare!)

And Staples was where I got my second GPS and two Digital cameras (good prices with rebates!)

Good Luck OP!

I have a garmin nuvi 260w and its awesome. never pay retail, check out craigslist for your area.

But my husband's garmin is much easier to use than my Tom Tom. Both were gifts and are basic models but they do have text to speech.

Another vote for Garmin.

No matter what brand you choose, don't forget to check-out the POIs (Points of Interest) for your GPS over at Mousesavers -- much better than what comes-out of the box...

Do they have a downloadable file of them?

And can you access it without joining?

hey, good luck!

let us know what you decided on, (christmas gift ideas!!! heheheheheh)

I got the Tom Tom 140 for $139.00. I know they have the Tom Tom 125 or 130 around $119.99. but, its an upgrade for this price. Thank you
