So my fiance & I are going to be in Disney end of Jan, so I made my appointment with a coordinator...The biggest issue we're having right now is who to invite. We still haven't totally ruled out an island, but I am leaning more towards Disney, of course! Our thing is- we know several friends and family won't be able to make the trip, so do we invite them anyway & then set up a party for when we get back home? like a cocktail party? Then what do we do if some friends can make it & others can't? It's really tough...then we threw around the idea of just immediately family & his one best friend as a best man & I'd do one or 2 of my closest friends..but then that's like eliminating people altogether...we're in NY so Orlando is only a 2 hour flight, which I think is a big deal for those who don't want to take off of work or can't take more than 1 or 2 days off....please..any input or help from those of you have been through this would be a huge help!

I invited everyone we wanted there, even people I knew wouldn't come. I only based our number on who I thought would come though. We did not have an at home celebration (we paid for our wedding and it just wasn't in the budget).

I really don't want to do an at-home event lol...I want to go to Disney & that's it! I spoke with coordinator today & she said approximately 20% of total of people you invite will not attend, so that's not so bad.

Did you have a lot of family that didn't come? How many people attended your wedding? Do you have a report on yours? Where did you have it?
Thanks so much for replying!
