I'm trying to figure out a time we might be able to go around the holiday break. The dates I'm considering are; Dec 14 - 17, 2014 or Jan 6 - 9. Which do you think would be better crowd-wise? I would like to see the holiday offerings if possible, so we might be able to move our January dates back a day (1/5 - 1/8), if flights work out that is.

Thanks for your help!

Holiday offerings will likely be gone by Jan 4 or 5 in 2015. Crowds should be much less Jan 6-9. Refurbs will be much greater.

I am curious about this also. In the past we have always gone before Christmas. But we are considering Jan 4, 5 & 6 (Sun, Mon, Tues). As previous poster said....Christmas ends on 1/6. Anyone with ideas about how crowded those last 3 days of Holiday stuff will be? And what about the weekdays immediately following Christmas time? I imagine those days would be much less crowded. But I have no experience for January. Thanks all!

I personally think the 14th-17th is better. Most kids are still in school that week. Kids are still on vacation for the Jan. dates. Also, Santa wont be there after Christmas if that is at all important to you.

Typically the last few days of Christmas in January will have an uptick in crowds because So Cal APs are blocked for about 2 weeks and it's their last chance to see the Christmas stuff and HMH is about to go away for 9 months. It won't be like the previous 2 weeks, but don't expect to walk onto rides either.
