Hello everyone. I need of some help in dicideing which AS's to stay at for my next trip. Monday the AAA discounts will come out for January, and I assume the nest year, and I'll be calling to make a reservation for January with my AAA discount. My trip will be the first week in January and I'm choosing to stay at the AS's. I've already dicided it will be either be Sports or Music, but which one? I've heard so many good things for both of these resorts. Right now I'm really leaning towards Music. Here's what I've come up with as of right now:

MUSIC:
---I've read that this one is quieter than Sports.
---As a Music Major at a small conservatory, the theme would suit me perfectly.
---I'm not a sports fan.

SPORTS:
---The layout is better.
---1st on/off if sharing a bus with other AS's (a possibility for January.

Ok, those are the main reasons. The only reason I'd stay at Sports would be for the layout. Right now I'm taking the trip by myself, but there is a possibility a friend will come along. She's also into music, and the theater. As I think about it, I guess I really want to stay at Music...i just want to see what my fellow Dis'ers think. I'd appreciate your imput.

I have never stayed at Sports but have stayed at Music and I think that is an awesome choice!

We were in the Calypso building(now it is preferred,$10 extra)and thought it was an outstanding location.Right next to the food court/bus stop/laundry/pool area, and we were on the back side so we were never bothered with noise from the pool. The main pool has the Three Caballero's that squirt water into the pool which my kids found to be a ton of fun.The main pool at Sports(with a squirty character)is NOT the pool nearest the food court etc...so we have decided we probably would not stay at sports for that reason.

Anyway, that's just MHO,I'm sure you'll have fun no matter where you stay ;)

I stayed at ASMusic for a similar reason-DS is majoring in Jazz studies. The pictures in the hallway between check-in and the food court are interesting. However, if you're going to Boston Conservatory or New England Conservatory, you're probably more interested in classical music and believe me, you won't find it at ASMusic! But don't miss Mizzner's Lounge in the GF-it's light jazz and sometimes there's a nice pianist. Also, if you like Sax, go to POFQ and see if Eliot Dyson is in the lounge. And for percussion, the Jammitors in Epcot are pretty good. Ds's dream is to be a musician at WDW, so I've looked wherever I can find music!

I prefer Music because it is quieter and it tends to get less families with young children and tour groups, cheerleading groups etc. I have stayed in every section of ASMu except the country/western part and really NO place is a real hike from the main building compared to some other WDW resorts that are truely huge like OKW & CBR. I do like Movies food court better though so I often walk over there for the food court and even that is maybe 10 minutes tops walking slow!
