I'm taking 2 girls from my yearbook club (middle school) to a workshop in Orange, so of course I'm also treating them to a few days at DISNEYLAND! :banana:YAY!!!:dance3: Anyway, I'm trying to decide where to stay, and I want as close as possible for walking purposes. I've narrowed it down to Park Place Inn & Mini Suites, or Park Vue Inn, or Desert Inn & Suites. My question is: has anyone experienced the continental breakfast at all 3 of those motels, and which one was the best? If it's not too much trouble, I would love a list of the items one can find at each continental breakfast.

Thanks in advance for any info anyone can share!! My girls thank you too!!:worship::worship:

Sorry hon, never stayed there. I do know the carousel inn and suites is right across the street and has a breakfast of rolls, pasrtry, cereals etc.

OMG I just saw your location!! your from my state !! I hardly ever see those from Montana on the boards :)

The Parkvue inn was pretty good in March 08.
There were 3 different types of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, waffles, coffee, tea and juice.

I think there was more, but I didn't eat it, so I can't remember:rotfl:

It was good though, but it was the price and location that sold me on Parkvue, the free breakfast was just a bonus!

However, we'll be back there between the 18th and 22nd of May, so I can let you know if anything changes, or what food I forgot...

Oh, that sounds really good! I think there should be something for just about everyone in our group.

I agree about the location...can't be beat!!

Thanks so much for that info, BecBennett!!

No, you don't see Montanans on here too often! What area of MT are you from, Teatime?

We stayed at Park Vue in March and loved it. You can check out my TR for a review on the hotel. Breakfast was great!!!

I have stayed at the desert inn and suites a few times. Location is great will be there in a month the breakfast isnt much to talk about.

ceral, toast, pasteries, orange, milk and juice and coffee

It is more of a snack then a breakfast but it is what it is.

You just cant beat 69 bucks a night would have stayed at hojo again but my dates werent available.

Thanks, Momwithdreams ...I think their breakfast sounds great!

Now I have another question for you: when you reserved your room, were you immediately charged for the first night? That's what it says will happen on their website, and I'm not too happy with that...I'm wondering if I call to make reservations, can I avoid that immediate charge???

If you are considering Park Place Inn, they provide vouchers for a free breakfast at Captain Kidd's. I would suggest not EVER EATING THERE!! Everyone I know who has eaten there has gotten sick.

Yes, they did charge for the first night. If I remember right though it was fully refundable if you still had to cancel within a certain time. We've stayed at HOJO's and they don't charge anything until you check out....that's a really nice bonus. I think you'd be really happy with the breakfast though, it's such a money and time saver

Can anyone help me out with this?:lovestruc

Desert Inn: Limited breakfast, pastry, toast, corn flakes, cheerios, coffee, apple juice

BWPPI: the restaurant next door hosts it. A little better, bageles, cereals same as above + instant hot cereal, same pastry,+ hard boiled eggs, both have drink vending machine. It's upstairs at the restaurant so there is a lot more seating. It;s not bad. You can also have "free" pancakes downstairs but you would hve to do a sit down + tip.

can't help with the 3rd place never stayed there.

We've never been charged the first night :confused3 Maybe it's because of the Australian credit card? I don't know, but the charge hasn't come up, and we booked a couple of months ago...

First of all I am by no means a fan of that dive of a restaurant, however the breakfast isn't that horrible. I was tricked into eating there by an 8 year old and vowed never again, that being said I didn't get sick. Guess I was lucky. There was a thread on here once about the horriors of Captian Kidds. it was too funny. pirate:

+Taht is number one on the top 10 worst places to eat. I have seen many reviews on restaurants and almost every restaurant gets one bad review but when a restaurant is batting 100% negative you got to wonder what is up.
