Help! Where to find which staterooms are still available?

I am booked on the Nov. 26th Magic in Cat. 9. I'm thinking about upgrading to Cat 5 or 6, but will not be able to make that decision until July-August. When I called DCL today, they told me that they only had 7 Cat. 5 left and 4 Cat. 6 left. Do you really think that those are the only staterooms available in those Categories? Is there a site to view which Cats. are available?

The easiest way is to go to a travel site like Expedia and go through the motions of booking a cruise. The top 10 (I think) available staterooms in the category that you select will show up.

Thanks tstobb! I did try all the popular travel sites and they are showing the exact staterooms they DCL gave to me. I am just having a hard time believing that there are only 11 verandah rooms left on the Nov. 26th sailing. I wonder if they are reserving rooms in case of re-booking due to this fall's hurricance season? Anyone have any further opinions on this?

Why would they do that?

DCL always shows whats available

They would much rather sell out now, then save some, and potentially not sell those rooms

Remember, most sailings are sold out, especially ones around the Thanksgiving holiday.

Why would DCL lie to you about not having a room? I am not positive this is right, but doesnt DU & All-Seas, etc get blocks of rooms, & if they do would DCL be able to pull one of them back to book?

Castlepixie, remember things can changes daily with the staterooms. I had a friend last September and she called four times, each time the stateroom availalbity was different. My TA said alot of people cancel or reschedule when their last payments are due.

Thanks for your advice/opinions on this. I think I will consider upgrading at final payment time (Sept). It makes sense that some people would cancel or reschedule when final payments are due. I am just getting the pre-cruise jitters
