Hi There, :cheer2:

Taking our 4yr old over in July!! (hot!hot!hot!) We r staying in a villa, but really want to experience some of the ding in WDW - Any suggestions please - dont like chips with everything, but luv a good steak. Was thinking about Le Cellier for an early evening meal (wud this b suitable for a 4yr old?)

Also want to go to a character breakfast - but which ones the best? Or is the tea party thing or icecream sundae thing better?

Another place thought about was Sci Fi? for lunch.

Would be grateful for any ideas, as really want to get this right, also luv the sort of thing where they bring u a food mountain!!!!

And finally can u book and how do i book?

Thanks
Karen (cant wait!)

You need to call Disney Dining as soon as possible. You might not be able to get everything you want as you can book 6 months in advance and lots of people already have reservations. If you are flexible with your times, that will help.

Go to the dining area of this site and you should find the phone number and menus.

Good luck.

I agree, check out the main dining page (click here) for more info. You can start booking now. the number is 407-WDW-DINE. There is a section on that page about Dining with Kids that you might want to look at too. You also might want to check out the Restaurant board here on the Dis as well.

Don't know about Le Cellier as we have not dined there yet. Report back when you return and let us know? I am curious as we have made ADR's there for our next trip w/our 3-yr old.

Coral Reef @ Epcot is another one you might consider.

What characters is your dc most interested in? We enjoyed breakfast at Cape May (Beach club) w/Minnie, Goofy, Chip & Dale. Crystal Palace (MK) was good, which included Pooh and friends. If you want to see the princesses you are probably out of luck getting an ADR for CRT but you might still be able to see princesses at Restaurant Akershus (Norway pavilion).

Sci-Fi: We enjoyed lunch there once. It was fun to sit in the car and watch old horror movies.

If you're looking for a "food mountain" you might try the skillet dish at Wispering Canyon Cafe. It's a ton of food from what I hear.

hth!

Le Cellier is definitely suitable for a 4yo child - almost all WDW restaurants are. The kids menus are activity sheets and they give out a few crayons to keep them busy.

As others have said, you do need to call soon for reservations, especially for Le Cellier, it is one of the restaurants that fills up quickly. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. A few of the character meals require a credit card deposit, but most do not.

we found the food at WDW restaurants to be varied and delicious. even at the counter service places, you can often find interesting food. burgers and fries are easy to find, but there are lots of alternatives too.

have you checked out the menus at www.allearsnet.com? these are a great resource for planning what restaurants and character meals to book, and what kind of food to expect. it also includes prices which helps in planning and budgeting.

have a great time - and have fun planning!

Our favorite character breakfast is Crystal palace with Poooh and friends. It is a buffet but has a chef preparing omlets as well. Lots of fresh fruit and my girls favorite mickey waffles. Depends on what characters you like.

Le Cellier has great food. That is my favorite at Epcot. MGM I love Brown Derby for dinner. Lunch I prefer Sci-fi or 50's prime time.

MK I prefer to have table service at Cosmis Rays - rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes and marinated carrots.

I know it is kinda late for adr's but if you find that a lot of the restaurants are booked at the resorts you can always venture out to the resort around MK. Concorse Steahhouse is good at Contemporary, Kona Cafe at Poly, then there is the 1900 Park Fare at GGF for a buffet breakfast or dinner. Whispering Canyon at WL.

go to www.allearsnet.com they have all the current menues. See what your family will like have a back up in case there are adrs are not available.

Thanks Again!!! And Happy Holidays!!!!
